On Tuesday, Todd Brunson tweeted that a well-known poker figure had been caught red-handed stealing chips from another player at the Bellagio. The victim of the crime (a player from Japan, described as "The Jap") noticed that $800 had gone missing from his pile of chips after returning from the bathroom. The dealer informed the floor manager, who in turn asked security to check the cameras. They q[...] Read more » Three-time WSOP champion caught red-handed...

Sad really, if you are gonna join a poker room and don't have money then you have a problem, either you are taking credit or an addict of gambling. Anyway sad for him to do it since he is so reputed. Thats why always count your chips before leaving the tables and go to the bathroom.
Cheers glad he was caught , get rid of the cheaters!

OMG steal chips from the table? What he was thinking?Done it and hope that the other guy was too idiot or dunk so he wouldnt notice the miss of around 800$ worth of chips.Or perhaps that he might was too "large" to spoil chips to three-time WSOP champion who was sparking light to the table by his presence? Too desperate i think this guy was not to think the continuous and all watching cameras.Welcome to 2014 58 years old thief.

You've been hit by, you've been struck by - a Smooth Criminal. Im sure anybody could made here some weird asian joke, based on purely by that nickname or our red-handed hero's terrible shirt, but it looks like no amount of WSOP bracelet could be held as shield against stupidity in its purest form. Why did he stopped at eight hundred, I guess we never know. You've been hit by, you've been struck by - a Smooth Criminal.

WHAT was he thinking....?
If it were in Saudi Arabia,...he'd have a red hand alright,.... after it got chopped off, and he had to run to the hospital with it in his OTHER hand to get it sewn back on. In that case he'd have 2 red hands...
Good deal,...TWO red hands for the price of one.... <lol...

This is really a despicable thing to do and there can be no justification for it. No matter how bad things got i could never sink to this level and steal off another human being. He should be banned from all Casinos

What a great place to do a crime, where security cameras are recording every square inch of action. Bonehead. I guess his next crime of choice will be to hold up a donut shop, after all, what are the chances of the police being at the donut shop? Way to go dude.

There is a saying known to many, that, 'the only thing one cannot resist is temptation'.
Think about it from your own perspective and the guy who took the chips from an opponent! Just how far would you go to take something for yourself......and where do you draw the line at what is acceptable?......... Then go and watch the film the Big Easy.

G'day mates
Well I must admit that it saddened me to read about his really stupid move. I can not understand what the heck he was even trying to pull such dumb arse crap for. He was seen as one of the poker greats and now he shows himself to be a thief. He did nothing but make himself look bad and insult honest poker players everywhere. He should get banned from tournament play for life. be cool
