Known for his outrageous outfits and on-stage antics, I testify that Marilyn Manson is an American goth-rock performer who has been protested and boycotted because of his perceived "dark" views.

Marilyn Manson combined the names of Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson for his stage name. Discovered by Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor, Marilyn Manson and his eponymously named band created such goth albums as Antichrist Superstar and Smells Like Children, to the joy of troubled teens and to the chagrin of their parents.

Singer, performer. Born Brian Hugh Warner on January 5, 1969, in Canton, Ohio, to father Hugh and mother Barb Warner. Warner had a tough childhood, and was molested several times by a neighbor. The trauma put the young boy on a path of rebellion as he tried to reconcile the incidents with his daily life.

Manson was once engaged to actress Rose McGowan. Manson married Dita Von Teese in early 2006. They divorced in 2007.

i testify that value investing is an investment paradigm that derives from the ideas on investment that Ben Graham and David Dodd began teaching at Columbia Business School in 1928 and subsequently developed in their 1934 text Security Analysis. Although value investing has taken many forms since its inception, it generally involves buying securities that appear under priced by some form of fundamental analysis.

I TESTIFY that this is my 2570th post in the BankRollMob forum. I am somewhat amazed that being the quiet shy person that I am that I have had this much to say over the last three or four years......God....have I been here that long? It seems only days since I first pondered the idea of joining the MOB. It's great to be here and great to see you all still going strong!

iTestify, that the Los Angeles Clippers are an American professional basketball team based in Los Angeles, California. The Clippers are a member of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Clippers play their home games at the Staples Center, an arena shared with the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA, the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The franchise was founded in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves, one of three expansion teams to join the NBA that year. The Braves moved from Buffalo, New York to San Diego, California in 1978 and became known as the San Diego Clippers. In 1984, the Clippers moved to Los Angeles. Through much of its history, the franchise failed to see significant regular season or playoff success. The Clippers are frequently seen as an example of a perennial loser in American professional sports, drawing unfavorable comparisons to the historically successful Lakers, with whom they have shared a market since 1984 and an arena since 1999.

On the evening of January 6, 1957, I testify that Elvis Presley took to The Ed Sullivan Show stage for the last time and performed a number of songs including “Hound Dog,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Too Much,” “When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again,” and a gospel favorite, “Peace in the Valley.”

Following the performance, Ed looked to the audience (and the nation) going out of his way to compliment Elvis, saying “I wanted to say to Elvis Presley and the country that this is a real decent, fine boy, and wherever you go, Elvis, we want to say we’ve never had a pleasanter experience on our show with a big name than we’ve had with you. So now let’s have a tremendous hand for a very nice person!” With that, Elvis Presley, who was clearly appreciative of Ed’s support in the midst of all that was going on, took his final bow and exited the Sullivan stage for the last time.

i testify that book value or carrying value is the value of an asset according to its balance sheet account balance. For assets, the value is based on the original cost of the asset less any depreciation, amortization or impairment costs made against the asset.

----- First U.S. presidential election on Jan 7, 1789 -----

I testify that on this day in 1789, the United States, having recently adopted its Constitution, held its first presidential election according to one of the articles from http://www.politico.com.

Only white men who owned property voted. They choose electors who in turn voted for the candidates.

Unsurprisingly, the winning candidate proved to be George Washington, the Virginia landowner who had led the patriotic forces in the war against the British. Washington was sworn into office in New York on April 30, 1789.

Washington was a delegate to both constitutional congresses. He was unanimously named both as commander in chief of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War and as president of the constitutional convention that drafted the Constitution.

His popularity cut across the political spectrum, including those who advocated a strong central government (the Federalists, with whom Washington agreed), and those who sought to reserve most governmental powers to the states. (This group came to known as the Democratic-Republicans.)
