PartyPoker/BrM Tourneys Prize Question  0
I see in the BankrollMob tournament lobbys over on Party Poker that prizes appear to be paid out in 'Tournament Dollars' instead of 'Real Money'...

Not that I have a problem with that, but am I reading that right...?

If so,...are those tourney dollars convertable to real money like they are on Full Tilt,...and if so, is there a small percentage taken as on Full Tilt...?

Thanks! Smile

No, you can only use them for buying into MTTs or SNGs. Anything you win with that is real money again.

If you really just want to convert them, you could just enter them into "coin flip" SNGs, and hope you'll get a 90% conversion rate (10% rake)...

I think there are 2 versions; HU and 6 max. Both are winner takes all, and no skill is involved.

I think there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to play them, other than needing to cash out quickly (you can't cash out T$), and you can live with paying a 10% premium in the form of rake.

...and I'm thinking that you have to WIN them or lose your T$,... So theorhetically you can lose it all, and have NOTHING to cash out...

Am I correct in that marqis...?

Yes but if you play enough of them, you can expect to win 50% of them. E.g. If you play a $0.09+$0.01 coinflip, you'll win $0.18 about 50% of the time...

I've only played a few, just to see how it works, since I seem to accumulate T$ faster than I spend them, but I think it's too expensive. Better save them for Pokerfest...

Thanks marqis for the info... It seems a bit of a waste to me to just blow them away for 50% of the true value of them, so I'm thinking it's better to just spend them on whatever tourney you can buy into and play a good game and try to win larger amounts of REAL money...

One other question for whomever can answer...

Say you finish in the money on the leaderboard (Top 30 or whatever it is),...do you receive THAT in cash deposited into your real money account,...or do you get T$ for that payout also...? Smile

It's not quite as bad as 50%; you can expect a 90% conversion rate.

It you do 10 coinflips you'll win between 0 and 10 of them. Converting at a rate between 0% and 180%, depending on how many you actually win (90% on average).

But why bother with them, just play some MTTs or SNGs with them; I bet you'll do better than 90% with that... Party poker has a lot of ultra low buyin MTTs as of late (even $0.10 rebuys with a guarantee that is often not reached), that should be +EV for your tight playing style.

The leader board top 30 prizes appear to be T$ as well (according to the payout table), I'm not sure about the top 200 freeroll though...

These Tournament dollars cannot be exchanged for real cash but they can be used in various sit and go's where the prizes are real cash so it is tantamount to the same thing. Good luck to all those playing the Tournaments and i will see you on the tables

I was looking through the lobby over there marquis, and am unsure just exactly which ones they are. Could you please go have a little peeky-boo and tell me precisely where to go and find them...?

I have too much poker on my plate right now and would settle for a 90% conversion in any head-up coin-flips.

Also,...are they formatted as coin-flips,...or do you just MAKE them coin-flips by shoving every hand.

Bear in mind,...I'm only looking for the 2 player HU thingy...whatever the blind times are or Rush style or whatever...

I see they have a 'FastForward' thing.... Is that PP's version of Rush...?

Thanks! Thumbs Up
