Where did you find that information? I can't really believe it. Most contracts (especially the pokerstars pro contracts are known for it) are based on a % of rakeback the player gets, for pokerstars pro's it's 100% Rakeback as far as I know. If the ivey contract is similar then there is no way he raked that much, even if he had a much better deal this wouldn't be the case. Given that fulltilt took back then only $1/hand in rake max., this would at a HU table make $0.50 in rake for ivey per hand that went to the flop.. now you can do the rest of the math..

If he was getting that much every month he didnt need to invest anything out of his pocket, to play ring games in the first place. I really wonder if any poker player today really worth paying that much.

That is some wage to be earning and he is a very lucky man. They must be making an immense profit to be paying one man such a wage and i wonder how many others are on this amount. Good luck to him though and give us a job FullTilt!!!!

according to botwsanian national security agent (currently residing in north korea), ivey was paid ~900K a month to be able to play the nosebleed games. this was done because full tilt management had lots of extra funds and no idea where to invest it, basically they had a choice of investing cash into the new "poop into marshmallows" project launched in china or a 50% share on ivey's profits...guess what they chose?
