Hey ladies and gents of the site.

I have started playing on Pokerstars for about the last three weeks or so, nothing crazy aorund ten or so SNG's per day or so. I have attached a pic of the numbers from pokerprolabs and want some help determining whether or not I'm doing wel or just getting by.

Most of my stats are from Feb 11th to present day so just about three weeks of work so far.

Any feedback would be great guys.

By far not enough to determine something from these stats. Especially in the played formats (multi table SNGs) you will expirience considerbly large swings, both up and down.

What I would suggest you would be to drop down to the $0.50 45 mans and start increasing your number of tables slowly. The decrease in stakes is just to minimize your possible loss, but with increased volume there should be some money to be made in them as well. Especially for a SNG player I find it very important to be able to put in a lot of games. Winrate per game is pretty tiny longterm and obv. you want to make it worth your time when playing. It will pay off over the long run to be able to play more tables without errors, otherwise it will take you a lot of time to build a good samplesize and the swings will totally kill your motivation (it's easily possible to make no profit over 1500 games in these formats if you run bad, which in this case would take you months to overcome).
I don't know how many tables you are able to play continously right now, but I'd suggest you to increase it slowly and be able to play at least 8 tables continously, the more the better obviously.
Once you get used to more tables just go up to your usual stakes Smile

I don't think i could handle 8 tables at once to be very honest. It seems that everytime i decide to play 3 to 4 tables at once that my game seems to diminish quite rapidly. So at most right now i do is 2 sometimes 3.

I will try the lower limit idea as well as it does give you more opportunities to learn at a much lower investment. The only issue i find with the lower buy in amounts is the quality of alot of the other players and b******t hands to you run up against.

You certainly run into bad players on the 1.50 or 3.50 buy-ins but not nearly the amount of moron's than on the lower ends.

Yeah thats what I was talking about, but it's just a getting-used-to thing, especially multi table SNGs are a very simple game, once you get used to the correct shoving/calling ranges your acting becomes quicker because decisions don't take you as long anymore, leaving you more time for other tables.

I don't really find a big difference between the $0.50s and $1.50s, the $1.50s have a few regulars, but it's rare to meet them often there, the first improvement in average skill comes in at the $3.50s in my oppinion, however you should be happy to play vs. lower quality players, although it may be frustrating to receive bad beats vs. bad play, but over the longterm all these bad plays by others will pay off in your winrate.
