Tell Time   0

Lately I've been hearing about some aspects of the game that do not involve math.

Specifically I speak of tell Time. Many have doubts.

The speed with which an opponent bets, you can give me information about the strength of your hand?

If so. Can anyone explain me the basics or some strategy on the issue.

From already thank you

Or the information about how many tables your opponent plays...

If you regularly play the same opponent heads-up, the timing patterns of his play can give you some info about his hand. Otherwise don't bother paying attention.

Or the strength of his internet connection. Or, in my case, that I'm chasing a cat off my laptop. There are many possible reasons for varying time when acting most are not tells.

All information is important information... but as schmoyster and zeroster have said, there are many possible reasons for varying time... You need to look out for patterns - ie when they take more time to act, do they usually have a strong hand?, are they thinking whether to bluff or not?... Watch the people on your table in the hands your not involved in - let the other players pay for the information.

Also, something I've noticed...

If people are consistently taking a lot of time to make their move, they are likely being distracted in some way... wife, friends, tv, cat, porn....... Distracted players are less likely to bluff, so you can work out what they're holding easier.

You can pick up little tells about the speed in which a player calls or bets but i think if you stick to the fundamental mathematics it will hold you in good stead in the long run. Whichever way you choos i wish you good luck

When it comes to yourself,...I usually run my clock for the same period of time most always so as not to give anything away. The longer you run it,...the more undecisive and weak you look,...which to me is a good thing. They think you're weak and raise you big,...then you whack them with a strong hand...

Doing that always gets them all jiggy and they want to destroy you...

Now I find that most of the time when folks snap raise or snap reraise you,...they don't have much...!

Yeah there lots of sublet tells in online poker like they taking more time to play their cards when they have a good hand etc, but you have to use it in conjuncture with other tells since it can be wrong. Because he might have disconnected or something. Uses stats and tells on time to get how he play and adjust. Anyway good luck and have fun at the table!
