PartyPoker took away my winnings from Leaderboard...have a look  0
Hi,
PartyPoker was my first room and I played there for about 2 years.
Stopped playing in the middle of 2013 and cashed out (before their new software and before they charged fees for moneybookers transaction).
I started again playing, just because of the BRM leaderboard.
At the end of the leaderboard I got the following email:

Dear MICHAEL,
Our records show that that you have not logged into your account for 180 days.

A $ 6.74 administration fee** has been charged to your inactive account. The next charge will be deducted from your account balance on: 07-Apr-2014 ET.

However, this fee will NOT be charged if your account, or any related account, is reactivated on or before 06-Apr-2014 ET.

Reactivating your account is easy: Just log in and place a cash wager, enter a tournament with a cash entry fee, or play a raked hand.

**TERMS & CONDITIONS If you do not access your Account by "logging on" to your Account using your Account name and password for any period of 180 days, then after those 180 days (the "180 day grace period" Blink your Account (and any related account with any ESP) will be deemed "Inactive". Well, I don´t care about the $ 6,74 tourney $, but theit behaviour annoys me.
They waited till the end of the leaderbord to take the money away, lol.

To make a long story short:
I wrote them that they can delete my account which is what I will do, delete the client from my computer.
So be warned about the PartyPoker rules...
Greetings,
Michael

Standard.

Just play one raked hand and you won't get the fee.

I had an email from them similar to this before...

Seems strange to me that you can get charged for NOT using a service, when using the service is free.

Still, doesn't matter... I never want to play on there again anyway.

@IceQueen: As far as I know, its not standard. I haven´t played at other rooms for over a year and my small balance remaines "untouched".
@yout: Like you said, I also feel it is strange. However it doesn´t matter any longer to me...
Won´t play there again Blink

I was already aware of this, since i read an email from them regarding this fee for not playing there for a while. The truth is, with this new rules someone who stops playing there and decides to return some months later will have to pay for this without being aware. PP is loosing points in the ranking of best places to play online poker (don't know if this ranking actually exists, but if it does, PP is going down)!

This happened to me 4 or 5 times already. Each time I got the money back by asking support about it.

I even used to schedule an appointment in my calendar to play a raked hand each 180 days.
It is one of the features I like least about Party Poker, along with the recent cash-out fees...

Same as Marqis, got me for $12 because I let it go for a while. Contacted support and they gave i all back quickly with no questions or hassles.

It is annoying they don't send a warning email before they do it though like other sites do. Got hit at BWIN too recently hope they'll retun it too.

Oh PP, whos the fairest of them all? Not only they are idiots closing out (new register) markets from b.etting one year before world cup, they want you NOT go back there to play poker once you decided fully cashout months ago.
I mean this is an old site but seems like full of new morons on the executive parts. This is just nuts. Altough theres a couple of b.etting sites that does similar things, it wont make them popular for sure.

Do as suggested above. Contact support and ask about your money back.
Since they have done it before you might get lucky too.
Do it from a phone if they have. It will be more personal and you will have more chances.

Every site has its own rules and regulations but all you have to do is play some type of cash game and won't be charged this fee why not do all in coin flips with that 6 and change tournament and then cash out your winnings assuming you have the minimum cash out of which i believe is 10 Question Question

...cash-out fees...

Cash out FEES....??? How low is that...? I guess if one took the time to read all that crap,...you'd find out,...but like MOST other folks,...I don't bother either...

I'm just wondering that if I try to take out money that I deposited, or had deposited on my behalf (BrM $50 Cashout) if they'll try to take fees...

This is one reason why I don't have an automated payment system set up at my bank to pay stuff like utility bills, car insurance payments,...etc...

If you ever have a dispute or whatever,...good luck getting back your money once they have their claws on it... Aww crap!

Yes vic.... I've got my Instadebit account hooked up with Poopy.... I made a $10 deposit there last week to link the two so when it comes time to pull a few bucks...it'll be ready to go...!

I fcuked up though.... When I deposited, I wasn't aware of the WPT Montreal Depositors Freeroll where if you use a code,..you get entry for a $10 ticket...

1st to 10th get's a $100 Qualifier

11th to 40th gets a $10 Qualifier

Since I already HAVE a $10 Qualifier,...they'd just deposit $10 into my account...

I see in the last one of those played,....there were 67 entrants,...top 40 got a ticket,....so it would have been easy to nail one... Sad

Lots of sites do this, though most will email you with a couple of weeks to spare and remind you

For withdrawals to both Skrill and NetTeller they recently started charging a 3% fee.

Instadebit might be free, but you can't deposit to Pokerstars or Full Tilt from there, so you have to withdraw to your bank account, where at the very least you'll pay for the currency conversion to EUR, and a 1.50 EUR service charge.

Their site says: "which include a premium to compensate for the currency risk involved in the provision of this service", but does not state how much, I've seen e-wallets charge 3.5% or even 5% for this service. Not really free, is it...

As far as I know there is no way to withdraw from Party Poker, and deposit to Pokerstars without somewhere paying a fee anymore. Skrill was good for that until Party started charging a 3% withdrawal fee...

Anyone got any good tips?

Actually marqis, Canadians can in fact use Instadebit to deposit or withdraw from PokerStars... That option is available in their cashier,...and I inquired by email with PS support. It was one of the options they suggested... Thumbs Up It may not be available to Europeans.

Also,...Instadebit is good to go with PartyPoker also... I made a deposit there last week using it...

Now,...about the percentage Insta takes for conversions... They take 2.75%, (or.0275c on the dollar) but ONLY when you convert between currencies...

There is no charge to withdraw from a poker site to Insta,...just as long as it stays there and you DON'T send it on to your bank... You can effectively use Insta as an e-wallet for FREE...!!!

If you send it to your bank,.they charge $2 + 2.75% for converting...!

If you send money FROM your bank to a site, they charge $1 + 2.75% for conversion.

Cheaper than PayPal or any other method...!!!

So,... as it looks right now,... Instadebit is THE way to do it for us Canadians... I believe it's a Canadian or American company... Smile

Instadebit is not available for me on Pokerstars, but it is for PartyPoker.

I believe, Canadians can do currency conversions for free. Just move all the money to Pokerstars with Instadebit and withdraw from there. Pokerstars doesn't charge for currency conversions.

Pokerstars and Full Tilt are unique in that way I believe.

For me it's not possible to move money from Party Poker to Pokerstars without a fee of some sort somewhere along the line. So now I just don't withdraw at all (maybe that is just what they want).

I'll probably research a little bit more when I have a use for that money.

There are a lot of poker sites that practise such technique.
First they are taking your money due to inactivity and after they are sending you
an email to notify you for further losses.

There are even some that while they are sending a warning email,
saying they will get the money in like 15 days, from the receipt of the email,
unless you login and play, that you just login to realise they have already snatched your money.
