2010 November Niner Filippo Candio the only Italian player to make the World Series of Poker (WSOP) November Nine, has announced his decision to retire from poker.
While it’s believed the almost-30-year-old – who won just over $3 million after an extraordinary run at the 2010 WSOP – had been considering quitting the game for a while, it seems that an Italian television report that claimed he was facing charges for tax evasion was the final straw for him
He will be remembered not for his poker prowess but more for his wild, excitable celebrations and heinous suck-outs.
Candio cracked aces twice in quick succession, both times for huge pots, first against Jordan Cristos and then against Joseph Cheong.

I hope his decision to retire is because he has made so much money, but i doubt it.Some of these guys have no grasp of reality and they treat the money like monopoly money. Most people could only dream about winning 3million

to be able to digest this extra important announcement coming from filippo candio one must be aware of the fact who the fcuk filippo candio is, whether filippo candio prefers roast pork over french fires for dinner and only then make up his mind whether filippo candio's decision to retire from poker is gonna change ones perception of virtual reality

Well if they went after him once, they can do it again. And if the accusations have a real base, then the best you can do is distance yourself for publicity, unless you are clear or believe that in some way you can back yourself

Never heard about this player too, but it is the right way to quit poker before he was broke. And now he can quit his poker pro career as a winning player- which pro today can this say about himself? And he everey time start a comeback.

Cheers i remembered him from the days when I saw him, I watched poker in 2010 and I can vaguely remember him, cheers to him for quitting while he is ahead, anyway poker sucks when you made a lot of money because of tax and so on. Even in England tax can be as high as 55 percentage.
If i ever wins big i'll ride my upswings and then cash out like what he did. Some people are just lucky those two aces cracked was unreal if you watched it. Google it or youtube and you will see how emotional it was!
