I also kinda like it, but like you, I'm not very good at it so I stopped playing rush poker a while back. I used to play 4 tables and I think multi-tabling is better than playing at one table.

I loved it for a while, around six or seven winning weeks, but then came the downswing and it came rapid and brutal. Lesson learned, I'm avoiding it until I can build a bankroll that can accommodate that sort of downswing.

i like it - since i'm the kind of person that really cannot bother to fold and wait for ages to get a playable hand i love the idea of rush/zoom/bang/shave poker...sure you can replicate this playing ~6-8 tables at regular tables, but it's more messy and people get a read on you a lot easier, so i prefer losing my cash on rush poker

I think it caters for a certain player, that is the player that has no patience, therefore usually a losing player.
I'm sure there are winning tactics for zoom rush etc but I find actually playing poker as opposed to rushing the game is money making. I do like the aspect of people finding it hard to read your game, but then you too are in the same boat, so it balances out really.

Well playing rush poker is a good idea if you have a good game because yo will be able to play lots of hands per hour and this will get you into more difficult situations and you will learn greatly from it. Your bb/100 will be less though than on normal tables but the sheer volume of hands played for 4 tables and even 1 table of zoom can make you more money.
But rush has it limits if you are used to limping a lot , in zoom you will do it more often than not and you will get lose more money fast doing a -ev move over and over. Cheers hope I was helpful. Play rush if you have few leaks and that your mindset is strong or you risk losing everything!

I definately like all fast poker games but especially rush where i made the biggest profits...
The bad part of these games is that they can have HUGE downswings, comparable just to tournaments so you need to have a very solid bankroll if you want to play it.

I hate Rush Poker! I lost a lot of money there. When I have monster hands most of the times I lost. Rush Poker is the fastes way to loose your money. The adrenaline rush is even worst. There you can lose just for a few minutes because the only two available options are raise (all in) or fold. There is not a button call.
Just avoid those rush and zoom games! You will be safe then!
You have better edge against your opponents in regular ring games. But sometimes I play rush poker as well, but lower limits than I would normally play, just for the fun.
