Ya,....what Monsieur Pinotte said,.... but do you REALLY think there are 'bots' placed into the PokerStars software...?
I don't think that the most popular and profitable poker site in the world would resort to such cheap chickanery... ESPECIALLY after all the Black Friday $H!T went down....!
...and yes,....poker certainly IS a strange beast...

I have been playing some very profitable ZOOM poker for the past two weeks because of absolute idiots similar to the hand you show above. Thank your lucky stars that these players are still out there.

This guy must have been drunk or something to call the last bet. I would have been flat calling trying to hit my straight but other people are different.I wish i could play against players like this when i am holding the nuts!

Posted by pochui: @mahdrof - glad to hear someone is making a long term profit at zoom
Thanks pochui! Two weeks is not long term but I seem to have found my groove on PLO Zoom, I made $300 last week alone playing mostly $25 BI, as well as some $50 BI tables.

I guess a fool then.
I don't think they are bots place by pokerstars or anything like that. There are bots by other players and i don't think that, i know it for a fact, they are very stupid and easy to spot if you are regular. Just the other day i received 10$ refund for tournament in which someone cheated on stars. I didn't spot much bots on pokerstars so i'm happy with their software. Some other poker rooms are different story.
p.s. i played this hand like i would play vs bot that's why i asked for opinion. You can read about how to beat a bot on a blog from a guy that took 13k from them before they banned them. Google a bit.
No bot in a world would reraise you twice with that hand. But as many of us already said above plenty of human will. This hand is a bit lacking context, cuz you didnt elaborate on how many hands were played with him already and how did he behaved in them, so if he wasnt fueled by alcohol maybe this hand had a precedent (maybe not with you, but still)...

Haha. Paranoia much?? The bots are out there!!!! AGHHHH!
Serisouly I think everyone goes through a small period of paranoia after reading about bots on sites. Suddenly everyones a bot and there's a handy excuse as to why you lost all your money.
There are tonnes of people who play drunk, don't know how to play, gamble etc etc. Just pray they are at your table often to the God of poker.

I know from own expirience that bots are better than the average player, you'd never see such outordinary plays like this, probably just a hobby player who doesnt know much about the game and willing to throw money around.. oh and to get to $8 stack like he did before the hand doesn't take any skill, can easily be done with pure luck

I think it could be a very beginning player who doesn't know that a straight is based on FIVE cards and not 4. Or he was playing at to many tables at the same time, and he thought he had a straight because he had to concentrate at too many tables. Anyway, nice win!

I really don't understand this guy. Calling and raising like crazy with high card That hand reminds a situation when I played at the cash tables at FullTilt Poker. But there I had FIVE crazy guys like this one.
It was unbelievable! I had A J The flop was 5 7 8 . So, I had flush Ace high. These five players began raising and reraising untill one of them went all in, I said: "WTF, what is going on here?" I called and all the others went all in as well! I went all in with $40, but I was scared to death thinking someone had straight flush. And showdown! They had high card, one pair, two pairs, one had three of a kind, I was the onlyone with flush and I won the hand! I won $200 from ONE hand!
I was not thinking are these five bots, but I thought WTF, how this could be possible Five players to go all in with nothing They gave me all their money just for playing one hand! I was very happy, but untill today I can't find the answer why they lost their money playing like idiots!
