It has been hard for me to find the motivation to play poker in the past few weeks as my favoruite tables (and stakes) at Full Tilt aren't filling up quickly enough with other players. I have also tried Omaha and NL Hold'em cash games, but no luck there either. I need to work a lot on my game (cash game), but I just don't feel like I have enough time to spare. Cool beans. I'm amazed you tennis guys have time to grind MTT's, must be nice for recuperating when you're tired from playing. Good luck against Bosnia - get the whipped.
So when you motivated to play cards your tennis suddenly starting to suffer? And now its vice versa? I dont think the two interconnected that much, its just your state of mind. Also you are still sort of a recreational cardplayer (amiright?) but a full on time tennis pro, so I dont see anything wrong with whats happening now, when you checking your priorities to match your expectations.

It's good to be away from the tables during a few days, even if there's no aparent reason for that to happen, because it will help you restablish the mental strength to get back to the tables. Nice to know you have good friends, who share their profits with you (i know the investment was shared too, but he's a good person in the same)!

You go through stages like this when the poker gods do not seem to be smiling on you and this can lead to you not feeling motivated to play. Just leave it for a while and come back refreshed is my advice
