I was just wondering: did you ever had a royal flush? I never had unfortunately, but hope to get one once! And btw, does anyone know how big the chance is to get one?

I've had straight flushes but not royal. I folded something like 10-4 off once and it came in on the turn and the river.... I couldn't have known it was going to happen so I would never have been in the pot in the first place, let alone chasing it. lol. gl

Ok, well I don't see a lot of hands because I think I can't focus goid enough when I'm playing at more tables than one and I am currently broke at pokersites, only there! Because I want to build up a bankroll to something like $100 and then just play the same games and withdraw my profits.

I've had a few over the years... It's a nice surprise when you watch one getting stitched together,...and an even NICER surprise if it pays off for you...!
I got a straight flush the other day,...but didn't get a very big payoff for it...
Royal Flushes have a frequency of about 1 in 650,000 hands I believe... A K Q J 10

The trouble with getting a royal flush is that the board looks very wet and you will do well to get paid post flop for it. This is the reason that you should always raise pre flop instead of limping in and try to build a pot

The biggest pot I've ever won was with a Royal Flush...
$1.00/2.00 NL, 6-Max...
On the button with Q10 spades...
Player 1 Folds Player 2 Raises to $8 Player 3 Calls $8 I Call $8 Small Blind Folds Big Blind Folds
Flop: Ks Js Kc
Player 2 Bets $16 Player 3 Calls $16 I call $16
Turn: 3h
Player 2 Checks Player 3 Checks I check
River: As
Player 2 Pushes all-in for $230 Player 3 Folds I....... call (believe it or not) and scoop a ~$500 pot
Player 2 was holding pocket Aces, so hit a full house on the river.
As far as the odds go... You should get one Royal Flush for every 30,940 hands you get dealt. This would only be the case if you played EVERY hand with a ten or higher in it, and NEVER folded while the possibility of a Royal was still there... so in reality, the odds are more likely to be somewhere near 200,000-1

Yes I've had royal flush . IF I remember well I hit this hand three times so far. But only once was paid very well as I made it with my two hole hands and three from board. I think opponent had full house and only was beaten by royal flush which by accident I had it. (Saying by accident because I am not that lucky in general) . Because I am nice guy too when I am playing in freerolls and happens to hit extraordinary hands like royal or straight flush I do not bet or just call in order to see whole table to admire ( a move that is not appreciated though by the donks that we all dealing with.
It doesn't happen too often my dad struck it rich on Lotto Poker 2 years ago he bought 3 tickets and on the 2 line boom a hearts Royal Flush for 5000 not easy i check the O.L.G website daily and it can go on for days without it being hit in all of Ontario but now the O.L.G. has it where if you add an extra dollar and go all in you can win a piece of the progressive Jackpot need a flush or higher for the extra prizes
