Here, watch this hand - 100 players to go from 9000 in MM 5.50 event i im among chipleaders when this happens:
http://www.boomplayer.com/poker-hands/Boom/7996338_56A3... - and i m out. - this happened cca 10 times last month in MTTs near the final table, went out first from FT in 2.20 event KK vs JJ - JJ got straight etc... it happens but it happens to you as well - suckouts.
Seems like you suffer from selective memory.
Cheers.
Very poor example..... If you're gonna raise K8 into someone who can knock you out, you deserve any bad luck that comes your way. You had the stack to play tight aggressive and go very deep into that tourney, instead you decide to risk everything (in entering into a pot with someone who has you out-chipped) to win the blinds...

his play is ok imo. he has position and everybody folded to him so its standard to open k8s. That was really unlucky hand but played well.
and yeah he has stack to play LOOSE aggressive....
Well you won´t definitely reach a final table as often as you could if you will play like a chicken near the money bubble. You have to play good all the way and don´t miss a single value spot.

Are you serious or what? What do you think how i got here? by showing AA prelop ? NOOOOOO
By reading people? YESSSSSSS
So this is example of very bad luck cause nothing had me beat on flop so i dont have to read anything just have to decide should i risk it if a board pairs if he has trips...... ifs ifs.
Everybody pls stop measuring our p.oker penis, mkay? Lets keep this thread to helping others running deep, not thrashing into toureys where we see only hand without context...
Posted by RossC21: I've made 2 freeroll final tables, but through playing awful poker and bluffing everything.
At freerolls you dont need to play awesome just decent, and bluffing is always part of the play anywhere. Good job.
Posted by RossC21: I've made 1 cash in a $1 buy in, but 4 cashes 2 of which were final tables in $6.60 buy ins. The cheaper the buy in, the more suck outs you'll likely to see. As the risk is certainly very minimal.
Cheaper the buy-in, wider the playing field, easier to navigate because many people will likely to play this if he/she was in freerolls. Try to concentrate less on arriving ITM and more to actually win da tourey - pays better everytime you succeed.

So you won your chips calling down with nothing... but refusing to raise... then threw them all away playing K8 suited... did you expect to get any sort of respect after the A5 hand? The moment you won the hand, you were out of the tournament. Good players would have been looking at your stack, rubbing their hands with glee. It was only a matter of time.
There was no "reading" going on in either hand... I'd like to know what you thought you were beating with A5 in that spot... and also, given that hand, I know you weren't going to throw your K8 away if the flop came Kxx... so how would you have read that?
And btw... you didn't flop the nuts in the K8 hand....

It's obvious i made mistake in K8 hand but i didnt put him on pair so i called and went out, it's obvious cause i didnt win it. I wasnt objecting that. I am objecting that raising K8 is bad in that spot.
You preech to me like i never won a tournament. I expect good players rubbing their hands with glee, but the fact is that that wasnt a good player so i dont understand wtf are you on about.
You asked me how would i react to Kxx flop etc...if i survived 5h playing 24% hands i guess i made good choices on those ones... wouldnt you say? i play LAG poker as soon as i build my stack and i m good at it and that hand didn't went my way this time but it will next time as it did b4. Cheers pal.

You have got to keep a positive attitude when you are playing. Although things still haven't run well until now, the truth is that you are gaining experience and next time you get one of those hands you are used to lose, you will play it with more attention to every details of the hand itself. It's a learning process, don't feel frustrated, better, feel anxious because your time to win is coming.

I like to winge and moan, that is my thing.
I am finally about to reach a FT even though it's only on a 100 man small freeroll. About time.
Edit: 5 people left and I am 1st and bossing the hell out of this table. 40k ahead of second place and they are scared of every raise I do now. My win to lose now...
And I won. Smashed that table apart. Probably the best i've played and took every decision right for once. Guess this thread is void now I have reached one again after a year.

I reviewed HH from this tourney and talked to m8 about this hand and turns out it idd was the wrong time for such play.
Well, you were right, i was wrong so thx for pointing it out, this got me in right direction. It happened couple of recent MTT's near FT in similar spots and turns out i didn't adjust my play in time for most of them and didn't realize it until now.
So yeah, instead of FU, TY i got valuable information from this.
p.s. CONGRATS Phisix, funny thread My honest advice to you would be to stop playing freerolls. It's ok if it's for bigger picture (PS School leaderboard etc.. where big prize is at the end of the road) but for cent it just isn't worth your time + if you have any skill you would have a harder time to realize it trough freerolls cause of huge fields and lot of crazy plays. 90 man SNG's isn't a bad start - for example on stars you have from 0.25 buy-in with decent prize and you can move up quickly if you are doing right things. They aren't hard to beat and i can tell you from my experience 2.50's are basically the same so it's just a matter of how much your bankroll is worth to start with. 4.50+ is closer to 'real' poker. Cheers.

I'll create a thread on not being able to win £1000 from a MTT or something next so it could end the same way this thread did.
Considering Freerolls have been my best money winner lately and of course a good way to get some practice in that would be a stupid move for me. Then again I don't have to play as many perhaps.
The SNG's are a good idea though since similar and could win more I guess, so that is an idea as well as occasional cash tables.

Yeah good idea! My bankrollmanagement is not very good and I'm planning too to do more sng and no cashgames anymore because I just loose too much then... I'd really want to play some big mtt's because that's kind of my strong point, but unfortunately there aren't at DP really due to too less players!

Will you participate in da BRM Easter Game to show us your strong points?
