Do you, by any chance, know the name of a relatively old blues song where a guy with a husky voice sings something like: Whaah whaah whah whah why, whaah whaah whah whah why...?

Considering that it is a blues song, it is probably sad.

There is the Wah-Wah song by George Harrison (The Beattles) but it doesn't quite fit your version, but nothing else comes up with your version so far? Out of curiosity, what's your reason for asking? Is there some deep n meaningful reason you need to know?

No specific reason. Just heard it often on the radio and always failed to register the name of the song or the singer.

Considering that I am never sober (according to magatt), this will be one hell of a rendition.

Hand history is far too complicated for me to comprehend and "after hangover" is not in foreseeable future...

Magatt, if you can't identify a very popular song by its most meaningful line, it tells how much you know about music. Get out of my thread.

That's probably the only song you know. But it's not it. It's not blues and the voice is not husky.

Are you / we any closer to identifying this old bloosey song with a gravelly voiced singer? I keep trying to think of it and still can't come up with anything....... I may have to stop thinking about it and then it may come to me.

Well schmoyster should start running through the Screamin Jay Hawkins or Tom Waits catalog on youtube. Or start listen songs from every other blues singer who born in the state of Mississippi, Tennesse or Georgia.
