You know that already - as much depends on your overall skillset or how much you prepared and whatnot - to be succesfull you should only play if your psych is alright also. Dont play if you are having a headache, fighting with stress from your job or family life, if you drank too much etc. If you get suckout after suckout your inner voice will tell you that every 80-20 which you lost are happens for a reason and this will keep you from bringing your A game whenever you had to.
Theres no shame in taking a week or two pokerless 'holiday' - getting together in mind and sorting things out. Dont get frustrated. So what if your not going to win the WSOP this summer. All your life ahead of you to achieve that. Letting this much stress in over your hobby is not helping.

Shame it doesnt mean much to me as the set ups and suckouts and predictability still happens. It just happened now with a certain hand, like it has always happened with that certain hand. PREDICTABLE.

This type of thing I have fucking seen all of the fucking cunting time, specially today(Think its the 5th time its happened now) when I should win and they have no reason to do it but ALWAYS FUCKING HIT THE ONE CARD.
Rigged? Yes. Suckout? yes 1000%. Predictable? YES. So you say its all in the mind huh? Yeah because my mind keeps making me lose when I am ahead, every fucking time.
Had nothing left to do with last £1. Got a small re-raise so pushed all in with A10. Guy calls and has KK. Bit funny that since the game will know I am on tilt. No Ace to save me unfortunately. Guess that is just for everyone else apart from me.
£20 gone in an hour due to fucking b******t as per usual. Try and put a spin on this then? You get your money in and you lose, and it's just not me who keeps moaning about this as I see other people doing it.
Way to ruin my high after the freeroll win. Great way for the site to win it back in rake.

Im just a couch philosopher as anybody else. Im not saying its all in the mind, Im saying you will keep loosing badly if you are dont clear your mind. Getting worked up over bad beats is NO WAY HELPING your game. I get it. It has happened a thousand times and you feel worse after each one. Nobody likes to loose ten cents nor ten bucks (or twenty pounds), but more anger you feeling over this the more your game will suffer.
Let it go. Come to the easter game on saturday then take a break for a couple of weeks. Watch some movie, go out with your better half, drink with your buddies. Clear your mind and get back when you feel focused. Trust me I do this time to time. It really helps.

To be honest I have had many breaks over the last two years but I always come back to the same s**t. Maybe it is me and my anger I don't know but this cant go on. I'm not saying I should be winning everything and always making money, of course I make stupid calls and mistakes and all of that, but when I keep losing to these sick bad beats time after time on cash table it makes me about to explode with anger.
It's going to be a recurring thing because once a few bad beats i'll go insane again, have a break come back then it will continue. I can take a few beats but when they turn into more than constant it breaks me. Some of the beats I have received or seen have been laughable and I can say to myself what will generally happen next.
Only upside is I deposited no money to lose, but I am still a constant losing player. I just find it find happy some times I can do some great things then the rest of the time i'm like some idiot player who always loses.
Oh well nothing I can do about it or my £0p balance. Im out.

From reading this the only advice one should give you is do research about a proper mindset about poker and then get back to the game, then get that in your head, before that happens don't play. Everything besides that would be playing poker as pure gambling, which it isn't..

Maybe you should take short break out of poker or even longer to relax If you arent in the right mood, your tendency to wrong moves is even higher, not to mention that a bad beat or a suckout after that has you fuming Good luck though if you continue playing.

You go busto over and over and over again. Dont you think its a sign? For me judging from the side its obvious you dont have the skills to succeed at poker (not for now i mean i cant judge the future) Also your bankrollmanagement is a complete drama. So these 2 combined and there you have it, busto every time!
I am not here to bitch you, only trying to say you have to raise your game and bankrollmanagement. If you cant beat micros you cant beat anything.

------------ I mean I'm down almost $500 in $7 sngs the last few days,while I played them very profitable over the last couple years,proving I'm def. profitable in these games. I got sucked out COUNTLESS times during that streak,running 250K below EV. But it's just stuff that happens,and that's what I was talking about,if you can't accept the game then don't play at all.

Poker is a game that makes the most level headed of people paranoid. Everytime you get sucked out on the river, you think that it only ever happens to you and that the whole world is against you. Great game though!!!

Nice post,all true,i lose all bankroll few days ago on badugi tables,im be under stress,not playing good,so yesterday make deposit and continue playing under stress and ofcourse i lose all...its my mistake.Youre right about taking week free to think about mistakes and read some book,maybe something about bankroll managment

I guess you forgot to explain that these words are just the most repeated because people don't usualy like to explain or analize the hands or games when they won, because there's always some sort of the exact opposite involved. Someone who i really don't remember the nick once wrote here in a forum that the most important feeling in poker is patience. This is the word we who sit at online poker tables for a long time should pass to those newbies who are excited to giving it a try.
