it really depends on what are we talking about, since i am a pro at balls shaving procedures and such... i can say that in this business you can only rely on hard work, it doesn't matter if you have talent or not, those balls will not be shaved without putting in the hard and tiresome work.

What do you do with all the ball 'shavings'....? Smile

well it depends how you look at it- ultimately yeah you're right, once you are a losing player- you are a losing player and there's nowhere to hide from the shameful reality... but you should always try to understand whats the reason for this- you can't beat you opponents or you can't beat the rake (or even worse you can't beat both... don't tell anyone that this is my scenario)...

The term "losing player" doesn't necessarily mean the player is below average, it means the player is down money overall, so it's simple to go by numbers Tongue
Obviously a losing player at a specific level doesn't mean the player is a losing player overall.
A winning player at lowstakes would at high probability be losing player at highstakes games.
So you should always judge a player on his result considering the specific game and stakes he has played. It's still good to be (very) slightly losing at highstakes hyper turbo SNGs for example because the rakeback alone will up your ROI by 2%, there's nothing negative to be said about rakeback grinders, as long as the money they earn is worth their while at least.

Hard work because even if you have talent but if you are lazy you will not go far in the poker world and you might be good and give up because of downswing etc. Anyway good luck and have fun at the tables but for me I would say that if you work hard and is an average guy in maths for example, applying yourself will give you more edge than the talented guys but who does not do the heavy lifting.

Work smart and hard!

And the quote failed Smile

I assure you its original. Had made a similar comment in the past in here, saying that poker
isnt rocket science, thought to alter it a bit and make it more funny.
Guess it worked Smile

G'day mate

Well I would have to say that at least 80% comes from hard work.
talent and luck make up the other 20%.
so days luck is more then talent so it fluctuates as to exact amounts.
I got to get back to putting in the work again.
Been real lazy now for too long.
be cool
