BOOORING!!!  0
Hi everybody,
just want to give U all my opinion on some of the low buy in tournaments on Pokerstars.
Im relativly new to the game and like to play on the BRM freerolls and somme of the smaller buy in tournaments. I think its a good way for me to get better on the game. But way to many times on the freerolls on PS they go All in, All in, All in and its really BOOORING.... Aww crap!
If I wait out the All in people the blinds are getting high very quick and to stay in the game I also have to go All in. On the low buy in tournaments theres ALLWAYS people that do this ALL the time. Yesterday I played 0.55 tornament and some guy went all in ALL the time with nothing and of course he won!!
I told him that he was playing like s**t and he told me to check out his stats on FT and this tournament was to low for him. With people like that its going to take longer time for me to get to learn this Wonderful game..
Anyway....
Thanks BRM for your freerolls leaderboard..
A good way to train my skills and Im looking forward to the 200 top tournament(I finish top 20)

I agree with you that the players doing this all the time it gets very frustrating. I often wonder how these players can enjoy playing like this. I play freerolls to enjoy the poker without risking money, but all ins are not for me

It can get boring and more importantly very annoying when they always turn into donk fests. Just wait until all the idiots knock themselves out by doing that and pick your spots by calling them with your premium hands. You will probably lose once in a while to bad hands but it happens.

The one thing freerolls are useless for is to train your skills with it.

Unfortunately low buy in tournaments are pretty much identical to freerolls when it comes to how players play them unfortunately...

As mentioned above there is nothing you can do but you could try some sng instead to boost up your bankroll Smile

I really like the way you put that, I having the same problem right now , if I wait for them to go all in I get put all in either from blinds or the antes an its frustrating, so I find a majority of them are just trying to steel the pot, so I fold a couple, see how the cards are playing an that one hand I feel is the winner I go all in, hopefully I get it lol,,, but at that point I'm up an I can have a little more time to pick an choose the cards I play,.gets really boring with the all in an the folding sometimes so I find it helps to have a show or something go on... Cool

It is a very difficult situation and more and more it is becoming the case that even up to $3 buy ins, players are more likely to play a risky strategy, the fore you have to carefully think about your buy in and bank roll management and choose an appropriate level to play at to enhance your skills. SNG 's being totally different to MTT's in terms of style and strategy so choose carefully as to what you want to do.

I really like players who go all-in time after time especcially in freerolls. Let me explain why:

In a freeroll you are playing very often at a 9-max full table and that means you have to pay tiny (in the beginning the blinds are very small) blinds which you don't have to pay very often because you're playing with 9 players at a table.

So that doesn't cost you a lot, if you know he will go all-in you just wait for good cards to come (doesn't have to take very long IMO) and call-in. You will win a lot of times from them and you can double up easily.

I know it is a bit risky but it is a freeroll so you are not really risking your money!

GL with that! Thumbs Up

mffvalencia, why you dont try to play 0.50 cents with 90 or 180 players or 1$ SnG normal with 180 players?, there not exist so many "morons" who know to play justall in all the time.
For many players little tournaments are bingo, there is hard to play decent poker.
