G'day mate
Well most people will tell you that for proper bankroll management you should never place more then 5% of your bankroll at risk on any one table. However that means that you will only have 20 full buy ins at the stakes you are playing on. Many people would also tell you that for a sit n go you should have at least 60 buy in per level you want to play at consistently or 100 buy ins for large field Mtt's. So what does this mean to you in regards to your question.
Cash tables 0.01/0.02 NL = $2 buy in Multi table sit n go's (180 man or less) = $0.50 buy in max Large Mtt's = $0.25
These are very basic guide line however and you need to figure out what you are comfortable with. Hope this helps Wishing you the very best be cool

Ronin has it spot on mate. That way you are sure never to lose your bank since you have well over the BI's even of you lose more than a handful of money.

G'day mates
Yes I must concur that your bankroll does limit you to only playing in the smaller tournaments. You really do need to limit your overall buy in cost until you build up your bankroll. Wishing you all the very best good luck Be cool

Bankroll Management is key to not going broke and building your roll. However, there is nothing wrong with the occasional big buy in as long as you are happy to lose it. Consider, how do you feel about going out on Friday night. And blowing $50 on drinks n drunken food ? Exchange that for a big buyin and you might enjoy yourself!

ignore those bankroll management advocates, just take your $55 to the cash table in one lump, or buy-in into a $55 sng/mtt. this is truly the way to go- you know... if you go down, at least go down in style. proper bankroll management of cool (and broke) people states that 1-2 bi's is more than enough
I agree with pochui (he is da man after all) you could buy-in with this money into 5 Sunday Storm or two $27 Omania toureys, they are definitely the best bangs for your buck. You only need to reach the final table one time to end up with a nice return on you dough, so good luck achieving it!
The whole Bankroll.Mob Community crossed their fingers for you and they wishing you the best of luck at the tables, off the tables, behind the tables, under the tables and in your life in general.

Gratz for your winning, verry nice! Are These 55 bucks your bankroll in the moment, it is the best to play 1$ sng´s, it seems you have enough experience to play this kind of games with less than 100 buy ins. For cash games in the lower Levels with their up and downs, it it not enough.

First of all congratulations it is hard to top the freerolls if you are not lucky or does not play lot and you managed too. So a big welcome here and a big congratulations on your winnings. If you looking at bankroll management you on the right track, the first thing to do is not to lose money. So my advice is that 25bi for a lower limit is good and you can move up after you get 25bi for the next limit. For example you go to Nl5, after gaining 125 dollars. Good luck mate!

Bankroll management is a must when you first start playing and not only. You can keep a better control with your money that way and make them last longer to overcome the down swings you may face. Well done on your win and good luck with your future games.
Depends mainly on how good you are, if you aren´t a winning player any bankroll is safe, you will use it one point anyway. The better ROI you can achieve, the less buy ins you need.

I wud say just play MTTs and SNGs for max $1, dont do to much strict bankrollmanagement. If you proof to be a winning player after some time you can allways start strict bankrollmanagement.
