Nice win then zoomed to doom  0
Managed to hit the final table in the pokerstars 100k freeroll 15.00et/20.00gmt last nite. After 6 hours of solid play I finished 6th for $46. Which was awesome as my roll was at zero Smile Then I decided to take a shot at some zoom. BIG MISTAKE!!! Managed to lose the lot within 2hrz Sad back to the drawing board. Moral of the story is. When you just a had nice lil win, it's gone 2am and you are getting tired after 6hrs of play...GO TO BED AND DO NOT PLAY ZOOM!!! Aww crap! Aww crap!

At firdt gratz to the 6th place and the nice winning at the 100k freeroll! Yeah it´s heavy to switch to the zoom tables winth their variations and suckouts. But it is another experience and perhaps you hit the next final table at a 100k feeroll in the near future.Gl!

I am sure I mentioned before that I HATE the zoom tables.

I avoid any zoom/rush tables. Nothing but trouble.

Avoid playing when you are tired, avoid playing with unsafe bankroll (I bet you haven´t been playing a bankroll safe 2NL Zoom, but bigger stakes).

I am completely banning myself from zoom from this day forward. Hopefully I can get a few small cashes at the freerolls, and work my way back up from there. Am even more gutted about it now as I woke up today and realised it's the first day of scoop. Can't deposit till end of month, so getting a few small wins and working it back up is the only way I'll be playing scoop this year. I could sooo kick myself for hitting that zoom table. Oh well, onwards and upwards as they say Smile

First congratulations on your win, i dont think it feels like a win though and on the topic of zoom it is the best way to make money if you do not have lots of time and still want to put volume, you can play like 1k hands in one hours playing 3-4 tables. but pay 1-2 at first as this is very fast indeed. Some play 8 tables 4 from each limit.

Anyway zoom also make your mistakes / leaks will be exposed more often and can lose money real fast. So good luck hope you bounce back!

yea just today i played some zoom after a while, and god that thing is ridiculous. Managed to lose 3 hands in 3 mins with JJ vs 63s, AA vs KJo and KK vs 69s with freaking runner runner flushes/straights.

At least zoom really cant put me on tilt anymore, and this mini session just made me even more convinced zoom is a joke, and im sticking to my plan of not playing zoom any longer. Especially when i see that guy with 63s

ah and btw, those micro tablet players really wont let go their suited hands just like that... or ever. No seriously, they keep on chasing flushes even if they need runner runner hit PLUS they are holding fu%$#)ing 63 ffs. 6 high flush and still calls whatever u throw at them.

not to mention it wouldnt be that bad if they would miss it from time to time, but oh well not much u can do :=)

so take the advice, and stay away from zoom, its evil pure evil Big Smile

I feel your pain! I used to do this all the freaking time.. It gets you to, because usually at the end of a long MTT, it's early hours of the morning, you've been up all night, you're tired and frankly; getting a bit sick of staring at the poker screen.. But you figure - I'll just have a quick bash on the cash tables, to cool down before bed or whatever, then before you know it, you've lost everything you just spent hours playing for!

I think that's why there are loads of threads about bankroll management... so you can't just bust out instantly... if you play for ALL of your money everything then eventually you will go bust. I think it is advised to play for 5% of your bank roll or so each time - so if you bust out then you loose 5% and you live to fight another day.

You had a nice run and winnings from that tournament.
Too bad you lost it all afterwards. You should have restrained yourself and keep some
of that money to play the variation you feel safe with.
But as i can see lesson learned here Smile Good luck with your next games.

I have played Zoom type games on Ladbrokes(Speed), Stars(zoom) and 888(Snap) and Ladbrokes and Pokerstars versions seem to be more variance and suckout/idiot orientated. Such a weird game sometimes but I have read people crushing Zoom on higher stakes as well as low.

Congrats on the finish but maybe you should have gone to normal cash tables instead.

You definately made a huge mistake mate, i mean after playing 6 full hours to start up a session of fast poker is not wise...

Sorry that you had to learn your lesson the hard way but i hope in the future you'll never make this mistake again Blink

I have my really good days with zoom and i have my really bad days with zoom....
I can play zoom 1c2c and get to silvertar in 10 days playing tight and moderate.....but i alway seem to lose my traiin of thought when I get to my goal.....

I like omaha zoom, huge swings though....

I have played like 30 x 1.50 - 50/50 turbos today, doing ok.....bankroll over 40 from 15 yesterday

On another note, i have been playing in alot of the MTT's 11c, 27c, 55c, 87c..I register like 45 minutes in and usually cash small....bestt effort was 77th out of 900ish on the 27c one for 1.10 win
