Hey, just curious, does anyone of you guys play on pokerstars.fr (french regulated pokerstars site)? I have decided to leave stars.com for now,have quit my stake and will grind on .fr on own roll now.
If you have any questions about the site itself, why it's worth playing there and how to get started there (not that easy and there are some requirements to fullfil there to play there outside of france) feel free to post them in here.

I heard about this Special French poker stars site in the past, but how many player are playing there? And why can play french player only there (as a eu member)? Verry courious in my opinion and what was the different to the stars.com rules?

They have this three-step verification process which can be a bit annoying. You have 30 days until you have to have completed it until they temporarily close your account (I assume). First you need to send a copy of your id, I just took a picture of my passport and sent. Then you need to send a verification that you have a european bank account, I cleared that part with a paper from my bank that didn't really prove anythieng but had some account number on it. They originally ask for some specific bank-account-verification-thingy I forgot the name of and that seems to be a very french thing that I mailed my bank and asked about and they didn't have it, so I just took a shot and sent the mentioned paper with number. Then you also recieve a code in your regular snail-mail of the address you enter for your account. You need to get your hands on this code and enter into the client.

yeah i would advice too to not go there as stated by mobsters, you have to take your picture etc and the verification takes a long time and it looked like you are on the mood to grind. You could register though and try verification while playing on other sites before your account is verified, if not stay on the other sites. That is why i do not play on European sites though heard field is sweet.

The verification process doesn't take long at all. mirexxx explained it pretty much. However, you can play there already during the verification process. You won't be able to withdraw until your account is verified, however it shouldn't take more than a week max.
It's probably not worth playing there for cashgame players because there's a little higher rake (they have to pay taxes to france for operating), however it can be very profitable for SNG & MTT players. For SNG players, if you play 3€ SNGs at above, 100 games or more per week, you will always be in the battle of planets leaderboard there because not enough people play 100 SNGs per weeks there. I calclated, playing 100 x 3€/5€/10€ SNGs each per week you're guaranteed 25€ per week just from that, which can of course be more every week depending on your performance.
The competition is ridiculously soft, as for SNGs 8-10% ROI should be very substainable, which is hard to reach anywhere nowdays seeing they're 9 man STTs.
The MTT schedule is much better IMO, no matter what stakes one plays. There are plenty 0.10€ and 0.25€ MTTs running daily,up to 20€ buy in there is enough running in that term, and the fields aren't as overflooded with players as on .com (only a couple hundred players per MTT).
The site is exclusivly in €, which can be positive or negative for some, for me I prefer it.
The only weak point for me is that withdrawal is only available through bank transfer, which takes 2-3 business days to receive.
So I can't really speak for others because it depends on preferences and all that stuff, but in my opinion there is a lot of money to be made there.
