So i was playing Iron Free roll on 888poker last night after 30 minutes of play i was first in chips with 24000 i was hitting everything set after set and didn't finish ITM because as usual i was ahead pre flop and got donked out is it a good strategy of just playing AA and KK until the bubble when you get a big stack

You can be donked out with any cards eve AA. I dont usually get big stack early but it happend lately and got the same result as you. Some peoples kep their luck up to the end of a tournament and they are usually donkeys.
I get my best result or win a tournament when i kept a decent stack until late in the game and then luck come and i start getting very good cards and my stack is growing fast since blinds are hight.
This luck continue and your becoming unbeatable to the end.Unfortually this does not happend very often in my case.

So! Have you guys ever played bingo? If so, consider what strategy you apply there........ Oh yes....there is no strategy involved. That's pretty much the same in my opinion to freerolls. Some players just shove everything and scare others into submission, while others shove shoves and hope for the best. Remember, invariably, most freerolls are relatively low value and therefore if there is any strategy to be had in them, play aggressive and take your chances when they arise.

I think that it is never a bad idea to sit back and wait when you are so near the money bubble. There is no need to get involved in races unless you are short stacked and you have no other option, just wait for a better spot

In freerolls if there is any decent money to be won it will be the top 2 or 3 so if you do have a big stack then you have to use your chips against the weaker players. I will try to not get in wars with the other big stacks unless I get a decent hand or if they have tightened up but most of the time a raise will generally do,when the blinds get big just a few uncontested wins can massively increase your stack, and some tight players will go down to only a couple of BB,taking them on should not be a problem. The problem in not using your chip stack is that the blinds soon catch you up and you are then in the same position as everyone else-with a good player using HIS stack to bully YOU If it is a satellite with equal prizes then I think differently. If you don't get ITM often and want/need the min cash then it could be a different story but I'm sure min cash on 888 freerolls is not very much so why not go for glory
While the registration is open, you must fight against the all in donks. Mostly because they don't care about sh*t. No real strategy, just keep going with any kind of hand, eventually you will win.
After that, I think some good poker playing can be performed, but before, you better pray to god almighty that you are not defeated by the 2/7s.

I just play tight and premium hands, if I am up against one or 2 then Ill play a little aggressive with marginal hands or better. I have finished in the top 200 3x in the last week on pokerstars 100k free-rolls. I always seem to register at least 15-20 minutes in to get past the donks at the beginning,
Well my too tight free roll strategy after i made the money didn't pan out in the Chrome 888 free roll finished 26th place for 1.40 i would have made the final table if i call with KQ nut flush win big pot call all in with 3 3 would have cracked A A and 2 2 win huge pot 4 9 off suit folded quads
and the daily Copper 888 free roll my AA big stack 4 bet all in pre flop gets cracked by AK full house
