£10,000,000 Lawsuit Against London Casino

Iraj Parvizi, a 48-year-old wealthy Iranian-Born financier, is currently taking legal action against Les Ambassadeurs Casino. Parvizi is requesting the London casino to pay him back the £10,000,000 he has lost over the past 4 years in high-stakes poker games in which he claims to have been cheated out of money by poker pros. How he can possibly think that he can win this lawsuit i will never know. It looks like he has lost to better players and sometimes you just have to take it on the chin. I look forward to seeing how it plays out

Strange that it took 4 years and £10 million to realise he was being cheated. It does look like he has no chance at succeeding but there was a similar case a few years ago in Vegas where the 'loser' alleged that the casino staff allowed the regulars to soft play each other and bleed the suckers dry in return for tips.
This looks like it could just be a very rich person being a terrible gambler,I noticed fairly quickly when I first started playing that people would attack me every hand and it was frustrating,it may have felt like collusion but it was just players taking easy money.

haha finally one hge player with lots of money to go against the poker room casinos and bookies. Love it would follow the story and see what happens here, if he wins many things would start changing and gambling sites will be wary of cheating , but it is unlikely he will get the full 10million but at least hope he wins for our sake lol. Anyway have a nice day guys!

Can you imagine having £10 million to lose? This is another world to probably every single person in this forum (apologies if I am wrong) and to imagine losing this amount of money is beyond our comprehension. Imagine how you feel when you buy into a game for $11 and get sucked out with a monster on the river to a really crappy starting hand. Next time it happens, just imagine to yourself that that loss equalled you 10 millionth pound that you had just lost!

"No-one would need to cheat to beat Iraj."

That´s exactly what came into my mind when I read the name of the article. Some people are just bad players and give their money to others.

It's hard to tell what to think about this case, now that it's a process in play i'm sure it will make light in thie case.
Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle, i mean maybe he lost a lot for good but maybe in some nights some players colluded against him. No one from outside can tell for sure.

£10M to pay which is $17M !! Maybe the casino owner should play the $1M buy in one drop in wsop and hope he gets the first place to scoop $17M and pay the bills with only one million Tongue
And how can Iraj still come to the casino and keep losing millions until one day he wake up and figure out he just lost £10 millions.

now thats low

"No-one would need to cheat to beat Iraj. We're professionals and he's terrible, so it's like Brazil versus San Marino in football. As a professional player, you sometimes need credit and you rely on your reputation. I'd rather lose than collude"

lol

but for gods sake, guy lost 10m over 4 years... how is it possible that becoming better at poker didnt cross his mind once, before he lost all that money? (:

What a idiot, he lost over 10 Million $ in a casino and is now crying and want get back his money? Better he spend this money a women assosiation in his country for a democratic future there. Or he set another 10 Million on black or red and get a 50:50 chance Cool

I can't understand it. To lose £10,000,000. LOOOOOOOOOOL.

From the point of view of common sense it anywhere doesn't bring. How many he wanted to win £20,000,000 or £30,000,000? And if he played for this money simply to play, spend time that I think you shouldn't file a lawsuit now. I think court will be not in its advantage.

I very much am upset when I will lose 10-20 and here such huge sum, but as they say "At rich the strangenesses".

All of good luck.

Dollar Dollar Dollar

I see that so far no evidence emerged in the favour of this guy so it may be possible that he lost all those money for good, without any faul play...

In this case his action tells a lot about his character. Still, he should stopped a lot more sooner before losing that much money.
