Phil Ivey will be a part of the EPT's centenary celebrations in Barcelona according to a recent tweet.
Despite rarely venturing into European waters, Ivey has pledged his support for the event and will swim with some of the game's finest before heading to the $10 million Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open.
Whether Ivey's EPT trip is the first of many this season remains to be seen, but if he does become a regular, the high roller events will certainly become a lot more interesting.

It will be really good to see Ivey at an EPT as the EPT is one of the few TV poker shows televised in the UK. They have a few of the big names at some of them like Daniel Negreanu,Jason Mercier,Vannessa Selbts and Liv Boeree. The high roller events I have seen lately have had few runners and seems to be quite a lot of the rich recreational players at these events so maybe he sees some good prospects in Barcelona.

For once more, never liked him. So seeing hm or not again doesnt make any difference for me. I would rather watch worst players ending in good places than him winning something again.

EPTLive will return for Season 11 and this time around the broadcasts will boast a number of ways for viewers to boost their bankrolls. Kicking off on August 19 with coverage of EPT Barcelona, the webcasts will once again feature the dulcet tones of Joe Stapleton and James Hartigan, as well as guest appearances from a number of pros. Alongside coverage of each EPT stop, viewers will be able to take part in a special freeroll league which will reward the top ranking players with tournament tickets and a chance to win "major prize" at the end of the season.
