I thought Sunderland ended last season as good a team as any in the league. If they can keep this momentum going and i think they could easily be in the top ten come May time

I think Gus Poyet can be a great manager at times but seems to stutter occasionally so you never know what the final outcome will be.
I thought he was given a big chance with Brighton and that did not turn out as well as I thought it would do but at the end of last season he did brilliant.
He seems to have made some decent signings like Rodwell and Pantilimon from Man City. Also Buckley from Brighton and Van Aanholt from Chelsea look interesting but I think they really need to sign Borini from Liverpool.

Borini turned Sunderland down and I don't blame him. Van Aanholt is a quality signing indeed(Rodwell could be as well if he finds his form again), but you are deluded in thinking Sunderland can make the top ten when there are better teams out there and they just managed to survive last season as well as the season before. They will finish 16th-12th.

I agree Phisix, top 10 is not going to happen.I was surprised Borini turned them down as he seemed to fit in last season, maybe he has had enough of the English weather as I do not think Liverpool have offered him any promises.

Supposedly he wanted to fight for his place. He should be playing for a team better than the scum, back abroad would benefit him.

Borini looks like he should be playing at somewhere better than Sunderland and last season with Suarez and Sturridge he had no chance but this season he's probably better off going back home to Italy.
It seems Poyet still thinks he can get him and it looks like Liverpool would prefer the £14million and have to say that looks like a good return,I'm pretty sure Liverpool paid about £10million.
