Sooooo i am curios what you guys think, About pokerstars introducing casino games.....
I personaly liked the idea that pokerstars is purely based on poker... Ok we will have more fish maybe sooo thats a +
Iff they put casino games in pokerstars, It wouldn't do the lobby ore software any good i think (hope this will not be the case) And the option(costumize)to block the casino games(ore not shown in lobby) Would be great cus i dont wanna gamble with real cash only no deposits

Where did you hear this? I didn't know they were planning on introducing casino games I'm pretty sure i heard something about them putting a full tilt casino program out but not stars and as far as i know if they do it would be seperate software like party and pkr do.
PokerStars set to Launch Casino Games in “the coming months”
Off the back of what’s been described as “encouraging” results from the casino game experiment at Full Tilt Poker in 2014, Amaya CEO David Baazov has now announced that his flagship site PokerStars will also be rolling out casino games in the near future.

I have no problem with it just so long as I can self exclude from the casino games and cary on playing poker. I can be a real idiot when it comes to roulette.

Avoid like the plague.
Real life casinos will screw you in the long run - unless you're rain man or something.... Online casinos will screw you faster... not that they're rigged or anything (or rigged any more than a bricks and mortar casino I should say)... just more deals, spins, pulls per minute = more profits for the casino and more losses for the punters.

Have no problem with the introduction of such games. Other client software has them for some time now, as a lot of software providers make casin0 software too. If you don't like them, just don't play them.

I don't like the introduction at all. What is a drunk fish who just wants to gamble going to do once these games are launched? Right, definitely do anything but waste it at the poker tables, instead they'll take some spins at slots because it's more exciting.

Idk. Not really feelin good about this one. But for PS as company it will be a good move to strengthen yheir alreaxy Nr.1 position. And will massively increase the player base. Lets hope they do a separate client for the upcoming cssino folks.

Like mentioned above,.... RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.....!
I like PokerStars big time for the poker and promos and what have you,...but sorry folks,...online casino games are the 'Crack' of online gaming....!
...not unlike those scratch lotto cards or even the ones where they pull open a window to reveal 3 slot symbols... They pay out $600 in prizes for every $1000 taken in....do the math...!
....at least with poker you stand a chance of controlling or manipulating things by playing the player(s) at the table...

That is a real shame. I always self-exclude from casino games, if I'm regularly playing on a poker site. I can't be trusted with that s**t.. You can blow a $4k poker roll in 20min playing those stinking things.
I know there's plenty of people out there with the discipline to act responsibly.
But let's be honest, generally we're talking about gamblers here.. The tendency towards problem gambling among the poker community must be a million-fold compared to general population.
I don't ever see a poker site combining casino games as being healthy for the poker economy. I simply can't believe it wouldn't remove huge amounts of money from the poker tables.
I don't see it being great for the reputation of the site either.
Bummer move in my opinion.
It's already difficult to try and explain to people you can play poker and be a responsible gambler and that online poker is not the same as online casino gambling.. Having a complete segregation goes a long way in keeping that distinction.
Once casino games are thrown into the mix, the whole thing degenerates in my opinion.
Sad to hear this. Really.

And this one.
I suppose the site probably makes more money, in the short term at least, in the long term? I'm not so sure really. Poker stretches money a long way and the nature of the game, even when people are losing, gives people the feeling they're not doing anything wrong; at worst - they paying for some friendly entertainment.
Casino gambling is just degenerate, destructive behaviour, it makes people feel sick about their own self worth and even if they do keep playing, they won't feel good about it. And I think ultimately, it draws more people away from the sites for good, as they see the destruction it can bring to their life.
Not too mention, surely as a community - we want to strive towards legalisation and better regulation for the poker world. This kind of thing just further pushes poker into the same lump-group as all other online gaming.
How are we supposed to get proper, legal and regulated online poker tables when they're combining this destructive s**t into their sites.
