Yeah some nice quotes there my favorite quote is to live to fight another day rather than die , more of an approach to poker, that is why i have those stop loss now and stop as soon as it is reach and live to fight another day and hope that tomorrow is better. Heskor - While, "Live to fight another day" is a good quote, and often an important one in poker... the quote here is the exact opposite of that.
Basically, the point is - if war is inevitable at some point - strike early. Waiting will only give your opponents the advantage.
In poker, war IS always inevitable - sure, there's always a chance someone else will take care of your rivals for you, but if you have the opportunity to do so yourself, then you should take that chance. Strike from a position of power, rather than from weakness or desperation. Strike on your terms, not on theirs.
This lesson is important when approaching the money positions in a MTT - if you have the hand, don't fear the bubble - make other people fear YOU instead.
