You are not horrible, the format is horrible. There are simply not enough high valued games possible to make up the lost ev in the normal games. Remember, if you don't hit a multiplier, you can only double up, but you have two opponents.

Yes, I just calculated that you're paying something like $0,05 excluded a normal fee for a little variance in the payout. The $1 aren't worth it, the $7 and above are more profitable! You'll get like a little more than a normal SnG and you can get lucky and win very big. I must admit that it has some value but my BR doesn't allow me to play them

I've read a thread on 2+2 about them, someone did the math - grinding solely these games you will need about 8.4 times the BR you would need for normal SNGs to cope the variance (hyper turbos + varying prizepool).

There havee been variance calculations, a player with an EV of 6% (a lot for hyper turbos) could even end down over 20K games. They're certainly fun though

And addictive lol. I think i broke pretty much even maybe down a dollar or two after about 30 of them. Had 10× multiplier twice and a few 4-6$. Fun tho. Will stay away though

Basically Heskor, you buy in for say, $1... it's a 3 man tourney with only a prize to first and it randomly picks a prize. Most of the time the prize will be $2, so as a table you are losing $1... but it can be $4, $6, $10 or up to (I think) $100...
I don't like the random aspect they bring to poker. The only random thing should be the random number generator, and good old fashioned luck/variance.

I wonder what the actual payouts in this game will be in terms of profit for the site, since you are talking that some times they even pay less than the total buy ins. They werent getting enough with the traditional way and the rake?

Tried both play money and real money buy ins, and was shocked to notice the difference in play - play money spin n go wasn't as ruthless as its money buy in equivalent

Played out more then 400 games won about in 80 of them and lost more then 50 $ and the best of a luck was two times 25 $ one i did won , the other one lost it , so i guess nothing really good in these ones ... The loose of the second 25$ was pretty awfull i think - http://www.boomplayer.com/lv/poker-hands/Boom/11090726_...

This type of game, while pretty new to pokerstars, has been running on ipoker series for some time. They have some value element, but only if you get the spin to land higher than the lowest amount on offer otherwise it's hard work for not a great deal.
