Final Table Bad Beat .. how to lose 15$  0
Hey
I was playing this freeroll and i reached the final 4 and
4th place gets 30$
3rd place gets 45$

and this guy had really small stack not even 2 BB and the chip leader was going with any average hand like any ace or k10
they both all-in

so i decided to call and they both beat me and lost 15$ (difference between 3rd and 4th ) and a chance to win this

i really took alot of time before calling .. dear friends , in my position , would you call or fold ?
i like to hear some opinions ..

I would go with the fold option tbh but i cant blaim you for calling either but since you want to make a payjump you shoulda folded i think because 2 people in front of you all in already

To answer your question: No fold, chances are you're behind, like jacks queens QK, KA etc. and if player one didn't get his 9 then you would've been out anyway so it doesn't really make it a bad beat, through player 4's eyes on the contrary it's a bad beat.

An ace or K10 isn't that bad 4-handed though, if the table is tight it's not a weird move with pretty high blinds and antes.

hello pascal

the bad beat here is : if he didn't hit his 9 , i would have become 3rd and take an extra 15$ hence the title Smile

i agree 4 handed the average hand become strong but i would raise it but not go all-in every hand , and that is what he was doing

Well then it could be a justified call.
I forgot that he would be out as well as you so you'd finish 3rd and he 4th...
Then it's indeed a bad-beat! Big Smile

I think i am not folding this based on your reads and your less than 10bb stack.
I call here caus i am aiming for first place.
First lesson my coach did teach me was always play for first so i listen to him Smile
I got less final tables but a lot more wins with that game plan.

gl guys Cool

That's true, because the prizes go up exponentially and not proportional

Easy call, not even close. If you were the guy with only 1.6BB it would be another story, but folding TT here is def. bad even from ICM perspective. Especially future value comes into play - if you win the hand you will be almostz equally stacked to the other 2 players 3-handed.
My approx. calling range would be: 77+/A10s/AJo and maybe KQs if he's been shoving wide before this hand.
Playing solely for first place is not a great idea in general because ICM will f**k your longterm profibility, it should be a good wager between ICM (or payout-structure-based-play in general) and still having a first-place-heavy finish distribution.

Thanks guys for your input , i feel much better about calling in that spot now Big Smile
i am gonna start two Tournaments like this now , hopefully i make a deep run again
i really like these FPP Tournaments .. they are basically freerolls , they don't last long and you can win a decent amount
i will post if i run into an interesting hand
best of luck at the tables and off the tables

Hmmm for me it is a fold here depending on the situation if i see that i can have an edge on the other player i will let them cancel each other out and then go for the other one throat but i might be wrong due to maths and ev play but i dont know much about that so i fold and let them play and later go for the throat. But knowing me my advice would not be helpful at all and we should think in range so just read what i have to say with a pinch of salt. Cheers have a nice day and good uck mate!
