Through the first eight seasons of the tour, the United Kingdom was the only nation to celebrate at least one champion every year. There has never been a season on the European Poker Tour that has not involved a tournament in London. And there has never been a tournament in London that has not attracted the stars of the game, hunting down one of the most coveted titles in poker.

The UK and especially London does have some excellent casinos and also the strength of the pound does make the prizepool very attractive also I have noticed that there are many players who say they are from the United Kingdom but come from all over the world and base themselves in London.
It is probably because the poker regulations in the UK are very player friendly and the tax rules for gambling in the UK is basically private individuals do not pay tax on poker winnings.

This looks like it is going to be a very big field and the prize pool should be enormous. The names left in are pretty frightening and whoever wins this will deserve every penny they get
