That would be great Jovica...
I'm still not totally set on which games I will grind... SNGs definitely aren't my strong suit, so I think I should avoid those - so that leaves cash or MTT.
MTTs are my strongest variant, but I have worked out I'd have to buy in to upwards of $700 worth of tournies per day on average to make SN, and I just don't think that will be possible. (maybe with a bigger bankroll - so maybe.....)
Leaving just cash... It would have to be Zoom - and I know that around 4,000 hands per day on NL5 or 2,100 hands per day on NL10 would be enough to make it. I can easily play 1200 hands per hour when 4 tabling Zoom - so this seems like the best option.
Would love to do it on MTT, but thinking I'll end up playing 3 or 4 hours of Zoom per day Monday to Friday, take Saturday as a rest day, then MTTs on Sunday... that's the plan at the moment, but could very well change before January.

Great what are you going to play? I guess $15 6 max non turbos? One thing I never understood is - why don't you mix in $30s as well? Considering your great winrate at the $7 and $15s I dont think it'll be lower at the $30s, mostly same regs and reg/fish ratio is still very good

Well mostly because they fill really slow and somehow I have always felt its first limit where really serious game starts and I feel my roi would be much lower on those so I guessed its better to stay on 15s with bigger volume. For SN purpose Im going to play 15$turbos and 7$turbos also. It would be hard to do it only with regular 15s. Yout85 you can give me your skype so maybe I can help you with SNGs and have some casual conversation One of you 2 can already make that thread so we can discuss what to play and other relevant stuff.

well, i wish you guys goodluck, and most of all have fun,on your journy to Super Nova make sure to help each other along the way, i will be reading your threads...
My "little" experiment will not be at the $300 or above level, I will still apply all BRM principals. I am an MTT playey, currently I do not play cash or SnG and have never "aimed" to get to a higher level of VIP status, my roll (and pride) will not allow me to lose money to try to achieve this and even breaking even is not an option if I wish to progress. I think I will run a few smaller SnG experiments and still play some MTT, spend to the end of this year, essentially, practising multi tabling at times, play some Micro millions and MTT's as well and check the roll at the end of each month. A plan to achieve the higher ranking may have to wait until 2016 watch this space...

Some of us do. I for one rate your advice very highly.
Yes, as do I. In fact, I even forget your age when I read your posts and THAT is really saying something.. The amount of times I read some crap on here and think that the person writing it must be a kid, only to see that they're actually in their 40's or something.. it hurts my brain.
But your posts, I always forget how young you are - you're very mature, you write well and you comprehend concepts better than most people twice your age on this forum.
So I always listen to your advice, because you know what you're talking about and you're intelligent and articulate enough to write in such a way that it is worth reading.

Yep - It's accurate.
4,000 per day would be nearly 1.5 million a year and on the Pokerstars site in the Supernova section, it "estimates" you would have to play around 1.2 million hands at that level to make it.
2,100 per day is just over 750,000 a year, and they say 600,000 is how many you need to play.
Obviously it won't be exact - but they're good guidelines.

So playing 4 tables of 10nl zoom, that would be a bankroll of $200 per table. You can make supernova with less than a $1000 bankroll? That seems pretty insane.
I break evens on zoom tables as a general rule and as someone who plays a good 3-4 hours every night at the very least (and way more on a weekend/school holiday) to make around $2000 profit a year, I could play the zoom tables and earn more that in bonus's as supernova.
I am like, 99.9999% certain I wont try it, but it is certainly food for thought.
How do you get your figure for 1.2k hands an hour though? I make it around 150 hands per table per hour, so 4 tabling would be 600 hands per hour
------------ oh and I rate BeMyATMplz as one of the top 3 posters on the forum (with only three posters that I would truly listen to at poker, as in 'I would let them coach me listen'), I rate him very highly

I would need a bankroll of around $1,500 to play NL10 Zoom... It's $10 per table, with auto re-buy enabled - and I would want around 150 buy-ins to make sure even the cruellest of swings can be absorbed....
But yes, you could easily do it with less than $1,000
1,200 hands per hour is how many I play when 4-tabling Zoom - The average is around 800, but I play a lot faster than the average.

hmm yeah I just 4 tabled 1/2c zoom and cleared 250 hands in about 15 mins.
I have the bankroll. I have the game.
But if I am truly honest with myself, I would find it mind numblingly boring. I don't actually enjoy poker these days, I play simply for profit, I don't think I could cope with the grind needed.

This is the major obstacle...
I'm hoping to overcome that by doing it at the same time as BeMy and Jovica - Hopefully that will make it much more enjoyable, and means we can motivate each other and lift each other when we are down.
You should never attempt a mammoth task like this alone
