WSOP APAC Main event final table, heads up, playing for 850k AUD, and WSOP bracelet shorter stack 80BB deep with Q10s, the BB (100 BB deep) with 66, and both look at a flop of 6 T T...GG

Live poker is rigged. Blink
But this surely is a worthy hand to end a tournament. Two flopped monsters going at each other. Most of the time the winning hands are far less spectecular.

Yeah exactly what I was thinking, considering both players were so deep. Earlier on in the HU match, on a T44A7 (or something like that, definately two 4's and an A on the turn) had 43 up against AQ, and AQ folded to a pot sized bet (bout 350k, with 20/40/5k), so I was ready to watch it go for the long haul considering they were both 100BB deep at that stage, but only lasted another 45. HU lasted for longer than the other 4 played elimated took. Was a good final table

Wow I'd like to see that hand. I'm sure the QT could have gotten away from it being so deep. Depends how aggressive it was played. But it's interesting that the HU was so fiercely contested. I imagine there was still a lot of money between first and second.

Personally when I've played live tournaments I've always thought the HU comes more of a lottery and sometimes plain stupid. Players shoving any two and calling shoves with Q high. But the reason for that is usually players are quite short-stacked and have been playing a long time. Even though there's more than half the prize pool still to play for, the players are so bored and tired that they are willing to put it all on a 50/50 race. A HU between the best two players of the tournament should surely be the most exciting bit, not the anti-climax HU usually is.

Haha no live poker is not rigged though it most likely can be because the deal is human and can do mistake or if he is bribe and so on but he is in the spot light so very risky and you can get beaten to death if found out, but today it is getting you arrested and your name slandered. But online poker can be rigged too but you have to spend lots of time on it coding the stuff and so on and if found out people will leave your site so definitely not worth the time and trouble!

Pretty sure the difference between first and second was around 250-350k. For a HU match they were playing relatively tight, but the tight aspect to their game was reactionary and more in a gear switching form instead of a general strategy. The flop went bet, and call, and the turn is where the money went in, (The 8s hit, creating 2 flush draws, a possible straight draw, Q10 jammed with trips mainly to block draws, maybe get some value from somewhere? Not sure).

The thing is, even when it is HU, folding needed to be seriously considered with two monster hands. As sick as it might be, the player who has been somewhat predictabley tight HU 4 betting you on the turn definately has a hand. At that stage, I am wondering whether or not player B shoved hoping to induce a fold instead of getting called with a dominated hand.
