Sometimes I just can't understand  0
... what's going on in some people's heads.

Short story playing NL10 full 6 men table:

Some guy just lost a big hand and seems on tilt, but only has 2,83$ left. Another guy has a bit over 10$ and I already know he's a big donk cause I played many times with him. Im on the button with Q10o with 10$ also. So the guy on tilt limps in UTG (u can tell how bad he is already), the other guy also limps. I raise to 50c. They both call. Flop is 10 7 3 rainbow. UTG shoves his remaining 2,33$, other guy calls. So I raise x2 thinking he has a 10 with a lower kicker, he was betting every hand on every street. He shoves. Im kinda committed and he's got me covered, normally I would consider a crying fold here cause it smells like a set but I know the guy is really bad so I call confident that I have the best hand.

UTG has J5 of spades and other guy has 104o. Shock

Guess what the river was now Big Smile

But why raise you 50cent preflop with Q10,that's not a hand to raise equal if you got note's on the other player. When you make lot of this move's you will lost more money as you can win

Outside of your comfort zone is where the magic happens... Blink

I was on the button. That is obviously the position where my raising range is widest. They are the ones that did mistakes at every possible point they could in the hand. (calling a 5x raise with J5s and 104o out of position? lol) I agree it's a loose raise pre flop, but I knew these guys' calling range were basically any 2 cards so I actually liked Q10o on the button in that spot. Chances of them having K10, A10 or a set are pretty slim because they would've most likely 3bet these hands pre flop. (like I said they were VERY over agressive)

And even if I was against good players, I wouldn't be scared to raise Q10 on the button 6 handed. It's a pretty standard play and bet size (5x raise because there's 2 limpers). That doesn't mean I'm gonna risk my whole stack everytime I hit top pair though. It was a very dry board and I had top pair 3rd kicker. I've seen (and did) a LOT looser plays Big Smile

lol superthight you could use some coaching Tongue If you don't open up your ranges a bit any good players will notice how tight you are and it'll become nitty poker with limps and folds on the flop every hand. I've seen you tilt and shove any 2 multiple times with a full stack on cash tables. You play super tight and then tilt shove and lose all your hard-earned profit? That's not a very good idea. You need to learn how to keep your emotions in check.

SickCallJoe --> Yep I don't know why they remove e-mails? I think it's part of the rules (haven't read them in years though). But clearly I wasn't trying to sell or advertise a product to you, you're the one asking me my e-mail address, I'm just answering... Admin could've used some common sense there but maybe he has a good reason I can't think of.

I live in eastern USA time so definetly don't log in at same hours than you in switzerland xD

Sometimes I just don't understand either. Some people just play any old rubbish and sometimes they get lucky. Miss one of those, should we could we enforce poker etiquette and make sure everyone just plays how the perfect advice suggests and then we wouldn't have to do any reading just play very boringly!

Also people should make a distinction between an agressive mistake and a passive mistake. I think I heard Phil Hellmuth talk about that once. Its okay to make mistakes when you're trying a semi-bluff or even a bluff with complete air... Atleast even if things don't go your way you force your opponent to make tough calls your agressive image can pay off later. There's strategy involved whenever you try a bluff. But on the other hand, calling out of position with complete junk hands and bad odds hoping to hit flops (or in this case, he rivered one of his 3 outs with 104o)... That's just bad short term and long term Big Smile
