He had never won a major live tournament before and was second last in chips when the final table kicked off on Monday. Although many considered him to be one of the best players of this year's November 9, the odds were definitely against him. Well, it looks like to me that the Flying Dutchman didn't arrive to the port this time either. Just a bad nick I'm sure but I hope he won't have to live with this name the rest of his poker playing career otherwise - based on the story - the future might not hold good things for him.
BTW congrats to Martin Jacobson, I'm really curious how many backers bought a share off him back in the summer before the main event started or even when he ended up in da final nine. They must be the happiest sponsors in the world right now.

Martin Jacobson was one of the favourites to win despite starting as one of the shortest stacks, because he has such a high pedigree.
Prior to this event he had made three EPT and three WPT final tables, as well as two WSOP and a WSOPE final table.

Hi, everybody.

Yes. Track record very impressive. At such data he was really obliged to win.

Our victories still ahead.

Good luck all at tables and in life.

Sweden has historically had one of the most aggressive tax regimes against poker players in the world. This has caused players like Jacobson to move to the UK in order to continue their career. The last three players standing were from Europe Thumbs Up Dollar Dollar
