Just one of those hands  0
This guy had made it his personal mission to 3 bet every single pot I was in (possibly due to the fact that we were both from Australia), and it took me a couple rounds to realise that he hadn't done it to anyone else. So, in my proud haste, I decide to 4 bet, expecting a fold, instead I got a snap shove. Decent odds, and a suspicion that this guy wanted to bust me, I call with KJo

Here's what happened:

edit: I am well aware that if this were against any normal apponent, I'm not playing the same way. It is certianly not profitable. Normally, I would have 100% folded, but due to the fact that he had re-raised every single hand I had been involved in, I had to take a stance. KJ plays reasonably well against a literal random hand.A situational hand.

you didnt have luck... very stupid play by his side... And your play would be stupid if you didnt know that he is bluffing you... I would stay after that on that table and take all his money, bcs he is playing like noob Big Smile

No way to go play like that without a high pocket or AK wouldnt even bother with AK.

Did you not read what the OP said?
The villain was playing anytwo. KJ was more than strong enough against his range.

KJ in 2+$ all in is dumb, so why not just wait for better, at least A high lol.

Good read, you just got unlucky that's all. Most of the time you will be taking home the $$ against clowns like this.

Was 4-tabling, sat out for a bit and left. I figured if I had to play when he had position on me, I'd end up doing the same thing with a similar marginal hand. Was kind of tilted as well, lost a couple BI for the session losing sets v draws and AA v a flopped straight from 45s after I 4 bet 25BB from position. Was pretty much over it.

I SOMEWHAT aggree if I'm going to get in against a random hand A high would be better, but I had been raising with >marginal and this was the right spot to take him on, as I was certain he was playing with any random hand.

i dont say about the % was like 75% for you against 25% his, but still... id skip that or at least not go all in, could have just checked with 0.32 cents first to see what falls, if he was so loose he would bluff anyway.

I'm missing 65% of the time and when he pots the flop I have to fold. I'd much rather 4 bet and see what happens. 80% expected him to fold, 15% flat and 5% shove. Knew he was 3 betting me so wide, didn't think he'd shove. I'm still taking my hand against a random range.

just one of those days huh?
Don't beat yourself up too badly over it tho. You definitely played it right, 100%!
I would of done it with any two paint cards, any pp, any A and any suited K. Maybe that's a bit too wide but you have to make a stand at some point against those types of nob heads Big Smile

Good luck in your next session Thumbs Up

your read was a good
unlucky for you , he made a straight with his stupid hand
also you have to relaise that fish can wake up with a decent hand sometimes
so don't tilt , and wait for a better spot
people like him always hoping to hit the flop , so it is better to play those guys post-flop , that way you can get a fold from them
because the way they think it is stupid .. they believe any hand is playable and you can hit something with it , it is BINGO
but after they missed they might fold ...

I do not know how to play 3bet pot so i avoid this and always fold to 3 bet, i just feel uncomfortable playing 3 bet pot, should learn a bit more on that and learn how to play 3 bet pot IP and 3 bet pot OOP. Anyway good luck on your poker journey hope you made some money today unlike me, and hope all the best to you at the poker tables in the future cheers, keep the chin up and learn to play and hopefully it will pay off!

Have you seen my post like a week ago about this kind of retards? Big Smile Aggro donk shoved top pair 100 BB when I had top pair queen kicker and I knew he had crap. He still managed to hit a 4 on the river to get 2 pairs 10-4 Big Smile

But 5 mins later same situation, A10 vs Q10, this time my hand holds. When these retards think they're clever, I like to stay there untill they leave and show them that they're just fishes with big egos and lack of patience/control over their emotions.

Just waiting for my +variance to kick in, but I still don't think I'm making enough +EV situatuons to have a +EV in my poker career. Would love some more coaching!

MachineQC (and really anyone else) would you like to swapo/review sessions to analyse? As miid based players I feel like it would be beneficial to discuss/review sessions.
