Why is the river the one street that fucks you over the most? It's a bit funny how its the place the bad beats happen the most and the chasers hit on.

Not saying it's rigged but its quite fishy to me and its starting to really do my head in with its predictability.

'cuz thats the last chance to bet or fold, be as simply as that...
Phisix I already told you in the spring you should leave CG and find some other type that fits your overall style - or to make you feel - better about your game decisions.
Don't do this much lamenting on bad beats it will poison your mood every time.

Keep calm and carry on. Blink

CG?

I'm not lamenting on beats i'm just getting pissed off and upset at always losing to crap when I play well and I'm doing the right thing. I'm having a break again anyway since I lost £17 to constant flush chases all night.

C-c-cash games?

I'm serious, try out some obscure form of poker, try approach it from a different angle, try whatever works for you.
Do not get worked up upon those donks, if you allow them to dictate your mood they've been won twice.

I'm actually much better at taking beats and their crap then I was a year ago but after losing continuous big pots due to continuous crap that's when my temper starts to rise.

I love cash games and it's what I am most best at but it may be down to speed type tables since for some reason more crap and variance tends to happy and I find normal cash tables a bit slow now. I think next time I may just try normal cash tables and see what happens. SnG DoN's work really well for me too and I have a better win rate on those then speed cash, so maybe alternating between those two may work better for me, but I am addicted to speed tables atm.

I hate these bad beats as well. Yesterday I was playing the big final of the PCA qualifier on Pokerstars. I had AQ and got my Ace on the flop. The guy goes all in and I called and lost against AQ s - runner, runner flush.

Well if you think logically about it, of course most chasers will hit on the river... You have to make a 5 card hand out of 7 in total... Clearly more hands are going to be made after the 7th card than after the 6th.

It's possible that if you are being CONSTANTLY outdrawn on the river, you are slow playing too much.. or not betting big enough when you do bet.... but obviously it's impossible for me to know the actual reasons.

Then again... it's possible that you're not constantly being outdrawn on the river - it just seems that way.

I am sorry but I am with PHISIX on this one...

When I am playing I can almost predict the river any given time when its the only damn card that can beat me. It has gotten worse over the last few weeks. The chasers seem to be constantly hitting the river when they are playing with absolute crap. If this would have been live poker I highly doubt many would play the hands I am losing to.

I am not saying its rigged but I am more than sure there is something fishy going on and the software plays a role in the outcome preflop who is going to win, I do not believe its completely random.

I may get jumped on saying I cant take bad beats but cmon if your on my end like alot of others you would be feeling the same. I play all forms of poker as well and do not stick to one game and I personally do not think I am a bad player by any means!

If its not an all in, then i can say that it is about 50-50 losing a hand in flop or the river.
But when it comes to an all in preflop, i have lost most of the hands in flop and not o the river.
Saves me time stressing out for the hand lol.
