Hey guys.....I am trying to open up the sports betting on party poker and I am just getting a delay followed by "error code 118 when loading URL",also just realised the casino won't load either it just says "initialising" and nothing happens. My flash and java is all up to date and I can play poker with no problems,it all worked fine before the recent upgrade so any solutions would be appreciated.

My personal solution would be to just be happy they're not working and stick to poker, but that's just me
...Can't help but think "error code 118" means they have had 117 different types of previous errors.
I believe error 118 means that your connection has timed out, meaning it's likely a problem with your router... but that seems odd considering that poker is working. I would try resetting your router then try again.

I have a free bonus that has to be used otherwise I wouldn't bother but also I can't understand why it is not working just in case my poker gets the same problem. Another question while you are about--If I un-install Party Poker then re-install again, will I lose my notes or are they stored all the time?

You can uninstall without affecting your notes... They are saved in program files (or maybe program files x86) in the PartyGaming folder, then notes... If you ever needed to, even if you can't log in to Party, you can still view, delete or edit the notes from there.
Just reminded me that I once made a script, that automatically checks players stats on OPR, then saves the results on player notes, so when at the table, I always had stats on the players... Ran it once a week to keep them up-to-date... took about 3 hours, but there are far less players on there now than there used to be, so might do that again....

Thanks.....I should have known that but I had a tiny bit of doubt.I think I will un-install and check my firewall to allow PP/bwin(bwin exactly the same problem) and see if that sorts it out otherwise I have no idea what is causing the problem. When you are back I have some info that may be of use to you.

at their twitter page party poker claims that "Error 118 is your connection timing out" and advises to "reset your router". also on other sites they claim that this issue has been resolved. things are not looking good for them, if they keep up in the same vein it might be that party is over...

I am sure the problem is at my end and not a PP fault, though could be wrong.
Hey yout.....I want to send and then delete so will do it when you are here. I'm going to work for a couple of hours and then my son has football training so will do it tonight if you are not about now. Don't get too excited,it may be no good to you anyway.
