I remember this news story from summer. I do not remember though why this was interesting back then.
It happens to be mentioned in every newsarticle which reported about it that the guy is some middle/high level 'player' in the 14k triad, the largest chinese crime syndication. This is why I am curious how come Phil Ivey was one of the first who posted his bail money. High level pros usually don't like befriended by gangsters.
