Ive been around the forums enough for u all to know that im a hobby player and frequent depositor. I like to play higher buyin games as winning amounts under 100$ doesnt give me a rush. Ussually depositing 50$ at a time i ussually grind from 2-14days before going bust. Sometimes faster then others depending on what im in the mood to play. Weather its just 1$ 180man hypers or its 5$ 90 prgressives. Anyways to get to my point. I have no problem with blowing a couple hundred a month since it keeps me occupied. I went bust a few days ago, 4 maybe? And instead of redepositing i spent a couple hours watching training/strategy sessions online. I now have about 22hours banked watching differnt pros on youtube playing mtts. Some as long as 3hours. Watching how they play, what moves they make and decisions when and if they do. Listening closely as they walk us through why they did what theydid and why it worked. I have already spotted several leaks in my game just from watching them play. From being to passive on others reraises and my own betting pattern problems. I plan on spending the rest of december studying oonline as much as i can. Some days an hour some days 8-10hours. Whatever i would normally put towards the tables. Im not sure if itll really help improve my game but i will not be hitting the tables until January. I May deposit a small amout to contribute to Christmas game and have they buyin.
If anyone has any other suggestions feel free to let me know. If u think im wasting my time let me know also.

I think that's a brilliant idea mate... You'll see the difference right away, and wished you'd done it earlier...
Never stop working on your game though even when you've watched all there is to watch... The game is always moving, if you sit still, it will leave you behind.
If you haven't already, I'd recommend watching Nosebleed on Youtube... It's an entertaining watch, but also gives a good insight into the mindset, and just how hard you need to work...

You already say that in doing this kind of learning you found some leaks in the way ypu are playing know so why not continue to do it if its really helping you.
One day you gone be back on the tables and if you dont come back to your bad habits then you will see if really it was the right think to do.

Ill check it out. Just finished watching a session with nanonoko it was a full 2hour game were he placed 3rd for a lil over 4k. Also watched a session with a guy from gripsed that was closer to 3hours. Its great that they walk you through every hand. The way they play and there betting/raising/reraising is alot differnt from how i play. Me being aggressive at the wrong times and also to passive at the wrong times is really obvious to me now. I never 3bet or 4 bet and allow others to hit the board too cheaply when i have a monster on flop is also a big flaw. I have a tendency to just flat call raises before flop when i should be reraising and shutting down to easily after flop comes.
------------ Another big flaw i have is calling the river bet even when i know im beat. Gotta learn that im not married to the chips and too let them go.

Yeah I really hope for a new beginning. This year it has not gone too well in poker. Lately I have been playing a little bit too loose when the blinds went up. And sometimes I have played too tight and got eaten by the blinds.

Well, if you are a hobby player and frequent depositor and you like to grind for 2-14 days before going bust I do not think, that you are wasting your time. If thats fun for you and you have the money, thats fine.

I do a lot of reading and video watching. I watch th Sunday million show every week to see if any Canadians are at the final table and their outcomes...Also like to see where they are from!
I haven't watched much lately as I am trying to grind another 250 fpps before months end to maintain my silver star but failing due to the donks and my retaliations
