... Xmas homegame final table. You folded to my shove and showed Ad,Jd.

I'm curious to know what your thought process was here.

A few people wondered why you folded. My take was that you didn't think I'd be shoving from UTG+1 with worse than AJ.

Sure, I was considering the following range:

TT+,ATs+,AJo+
I have about 35.5% equity vs. this range (ingame I was thinking it's even lower), so by odds a close fold.

And that's already by tools a wide assumption (I think the nash ('optimal') range will have you on something like JJ/AQs+/AK).

When I saw you shoved 77 in a similar spot (from what I remember), looking back if I knew you shove as wide I would've called the AJs hand too, the hard part is that I hardly had any hands played with you to make a relativly certain assumption, in such cases I usually prefer going tighter than going wider to perceive my stack and use it at a better spot Smile

Normally my range wouldn't have been as wide as 7,7 but I was pretty short at that point. Hoping to to see A,x from you. Smile
