I am still a new player on this site but I have noticed a considerable amount of players are inactive throughout the freeroll tournaments. These inactive players makes it very difficult for the active players to get through them, especially near the end of the tournament. There is also the extra length of time it takes to play said tournaments with inactive players. Some of these inactive players build up there chip stack at the beginning of the tourney and then go inactive as I am sure they have calculated their stack so they can get into the money stage. I just do not think this is fair play and I believe something has to be done to prevent this from happening by the poker site management. I have seen on other sites players who are inactive for 10 hands are eliminated from the freeroll tournament. Also those who are inactive near the end of the tournament are also eliminated. This will prevent unfair inactive play and the playing field will be the same for everyone. The more players who complain to management of this site the sooner they may consider doing something about this unfair practice of inactive players.
If you are talking about Duck Poker, FORGET IT. they dont care at all and dont you teven think about depositing any amount of money(read other posts about withdrawal problem) long story short, keep it for entertaining not earnings

This, my friend, is one of the facts of life! You have to deal with it. Alternatively, consider this...... You are playing a game and have built a decent stack, when suddenly you are distracted from the game to deal with something else! You return some time later to find you have blinded out but have made a small win! Will you return your winnings?

Also, if you insist that a player has to be active to exercise his right to fold every hand he may just as well run his clock down every hand. I guarantee that will become even more annoying.
Zeroster, on Duck they not just folding hands. For example, if blinds 150/75 and inactive player has 170 chips, he goes all-in And almost everytime he wins. They can sit-out till the final table LOL

it sucks and part of the game....Duck poker is another problem in itself. Also I love people when they constantly ZZZZZzzzing me when Im trying to make a choice and the more people complain about my slow play the more frequent I run the clock down. When you annoy someone it doesnt allow them to think clearly and will make mistakes trying to eliminate you...alot of times this works well to me but sometimes they get me!

I was just commenting on sit outs in general on any site. But yeah if this is how it works on Duck it needs to be addressed.

I really dont understand what you have against sit out players they are not stalling the game cause they fold every hand without taking time and i also dont see anything unfair of being sit out.
Being sit out and go very far in a tournament is only possible if the guy played a lot of hands and manage to get a very big stack.
However something i dont like is site that dont identify the sit out and also there when they are all in their hand are alive even if they are sit out and they win the hand. This is not happening only on duck.
I find that the best site handling sit out is stars.

...it should be JUST like poker at a REAL poker table full of players... Sometimes players leave the table for a wee bit,...and the cards do NOT get dealt to that spot,....but in online poker that spot gets dealt,...and the damned sitter's out are winning hands....!!!
If there is NO body sitting there PLAYING the hand,...why does it get played...???

Demo i think you are mixing cash game and tournament game.
In a live tournament if the player is not at is place the cards are dealt to all players including the missing one.
However when the last card has been distributed if the player is still missing then his card are muck and if he is in the blinds then is blind is going in the pot and cards muck.
In a cash game table then if the player is not at is seat then no cards is deal to him.

If a player has built up a good chipstack I think it is fine and up to them if they decide to sit out,I wouldn't mind if they were at my table and sat out. Players that register for a freeroll tournament which has a very short registration period and then don't sit at the table I would like to see being removed after the first hand and if the tournament is full the seat should then offered to a late reg player.

I think if someone is sitting out even if they are in the big blind with no raisers they should get their allotted time limit and then their hand should auto fold. If they can't bother to sit back in when they have a good starting hand then it should do the auto fold as if someone had raised and they did not call. Good luck at the tables fellow Mobsters.
Honestly if I'm able to build a healthy stack on early levels everywhere (freeroll, MTTs, whatevs...) then in the middle phase I'm often sitting out 'cuz I like doing my things in the middle of any given tourey. Going to the bathroom, cooking, doing chores, taking shower, watch some telly - anything. Not because poker was boring but mainly because life just don't stop when I'm playing cards. Honestly I'm kinda liking the early and late phase shove fests, in the middle everything so calm and calculated.
On the BRM frees however many inactives just double regs.

That sitout problem is general in all sites. Some sites have a bit different rules from others, but it is not the "game changing" one. Some times it helps sitting in such a table full of sitouts, easier to build a stack, for later stages. How many times i have seen just one active player and all the rest sitting out.

Different sites have different ways of playing these.
Some auto-remove after 10 mins, anyone who hasn't logged in. It just kicks em out and we play normally.
A couple of sites have tried a auto-rebuy. For instance, they give you 100 chips to start with but you get a free rebuy of 2000 chips any time in first 20 mins. It means that people who don't turn up just get blinded out fast.
Some do nothing.
You pick your site and take the rules they set down

Yes man, you are absolutely right. There is a considerable amount of inactive players throughout the freeroll tournaments. But I would not call it unfair. Unfair is, that for instance on PS mostly non-members play.

Pinotte is correct on this one, cards still get dealt in a tourney but not in a cash game.
