What do you mean with "casino". Do you want to play only Poker or also roullette, black jack and so on and so forth? If yes I think you should keep your eyes on your two friends. If they are really first time casino visitors they could loose quite some money there. But have fun of course.

....Mmmmmmmm....Let's see now,....
First up,...a wee visit to the Coffee Shop for a brew and a blow a few fatties,....
Then,....off to the casino to get drunk and blow some cake at the tables...
Then if there's either some winnings or leftover unspent ,...it's be BACK to the coofee shop district, but this time for a wee visit to one of them shops with bare naked ladies in the windows...

For me it's the comps I love the most about brick and mortar casinos. Drinks, cigarettes, food, show tickets, clothes, rooms, etc. Miss those good old days even though I really did not win most of the times.
Have fun, Jeff!

yeah tony montana is so right- comps is the best thing of casinos. there are people who live on them, if one is smart and knows how to abuse them he can easily find himself under the tables or in between the tables for free...

Hmmm... I'm unfamiliar with most casino games; is this the one they call "Russian roulette"?

Posted by marqis: I keep telling everyone, casino games are -EV...
They are only -EV if you play to win.
It can be very +EV if you play for fun with money you can afford to lose
I was commenting on the picture...
If you assign a value to the fun you're having, you may be right, but that is kind of hard to quantify mathematically. In terms of money it's -EV...
My mate goes out and takes $100. He gets blotto, wakes up feeling like shite and has a terrible next day. He can't remember the night before.
I go out and take $100. I have a few drinks, play the tables all evening and have a chance of going home with more than I started. That is freerolling and freerolling is +ev.
If you consider it 'entertainment money' which is gone as soon as it is allocated, in the same ways others would drink/cinema/smoke etc, and it is just for fun, that is what makes it +EV

Thanks all for the cool replies , ill tell you how it went.
We went in and the pokertable was already filled to the max with a waitinglist so that was not going to be my game tonight. As i lost a couple of bucks playing and drinking at one point i was down about 30EU and was like okay lets play a round of blackjack for 20, BOOM inmediately lost. So my mate and i looked at each other and said 50/50? yep we did it , both grabbing 10 eu from the wallet and this is where the rollercoaster really started. we kept winning and every chip we won he put in his pocket so we were less tempted to play it all. So at the time we lost 2 in a row we called it quits and left that table with 200 so we had a cool 100 each. we bought drinks for ourselves and the other friends celebrating our win (other friends were up 25 and 70 eu) while drinking we said okay lets try it at a 10 bucks table and both did 5 bucks , table was filled so we looked a couple of rounds who made good decisions and then put our money on someone on 3r or 4rd box. we made 30 and then lost 10 and said okay 20 table letsgo because our winning spot was free. next up we leave the table again with 230 Eu so my buddy and i won 400 bucks playing blackjack , i left the casino with 165 profit , he with 210 profit , and the 2 others with 25 and 70 profit. And ofcourse we drunk quite some beers from the free dough thanks all for reading and have a wunderfull day

...Very nice...! Having a good time night out,...PLUS ending up with profit...!
...now when I was a young whipper-snapper, a night out on the town that included alcohol would have to end with a good lookin' girl, or I would have considered it a complete failure... ...but I never did consider a night out on the town that ended with your pockets full of could be nearly as satisfying...

When I travel to alberta for work I get hooked on those VLT machines in every bar...I will toss in 25 bucks usually and always seem to double or triple my money and when I do I walk away and order food and drinks and shoot pool for the night at basically no cost!!
That is free rolling my style. Last time I went to Nfld I was given 300 cash for my per diem money and by the end of the week all my groceries were paid for, all my lunches and meals and drinks. I walked away -20 bucks so 280 bucks plus my full pay....not bad for working a week away from home, had some fun and was well fed.
Haha, I thought based on the title alone that he is going to rob a casino - for like real. With guns, skimasks, getaway cars and fake accents... everything. Do the dutchmen have great casinos? Here in Hungary we got a couple 'pretend Vegas' knock-off places, all ruled by the ex-hollywood producer Andy Vajna. He made Rambo and Terminator movies in is prime. Now he is just cashing in on gambling addicts.
