On dec 25th i quit smoking, been smoking for 43 years, avg 2 packs a day, as some know i ran into a health issue, and had to be in hospital for 2 weeks, and they had to remove my big toe on my right foot because of smoking, i still have issues with the leg, and have to be tested every 3 mths. so i'd like you to wish me luck on quiting and i would advise other members to try and quit to.

I used to smoke about 12.5 grams of rolling tobacco a day. I switched to an ecig 15 months ago and haven't smoked any tobacco products since then. I'm gradually, lowering the nicotine content of the liquid I vape and hope to be entirely off it by May.

Sorry to hear of your health issues crash and best of luck with giving up smoking. It is not an easy thing to do and if you are having any difficulties then buying some E cigs is a very good alternative,it seems to have helped a lot of people to quit tobacco. Also just think of the amount of money you could save and use for your poker bankroll. I don't know how much a pack costs in Canada but in the UK a pack is probably around £8($12) though in the UK we have a big tax on tobacco. Go crash, you can do it.
My father stopped smoking years ago. (after several attempts)
He got a smoking calendar which counts the days of consecutive non-smoking days. On each day there was a note on the calendar of what he accomplished for his body speaking of health issues.
Stuff like 'it's been xxx Days bla bla, you reduced the risk of getting cancer by xxx%' and similar stuff
I smoke about 10-15 a day the Indian smokes would be a lot more as i have too smoke outside and the wireless connection is no good outdoors i have no plans on quitting in the future as i know someone who quit for 5 years and still got sick with lung cancer you quit for 1 or 2 days then say fck it and start again

Tried quitting a few times but I enjoy it too much. I want to quit it at some point though. I have only smoked for about 6 years though so I still have plenty of time to do so. 12 days is my record but temptations of seeing people smoke around me made me give it.

Every piece of research I've read says otherwise and in fact by quite some margin ie almost harmless. I'd be interested to know where you got that idea from.

I smoke only that which burns, and only when I have a free hand. 'Bout 30 yrs now and I would sooner quit bacon (fat chance) or being a lesbian(carpet muncher anyway). Screw growing old, and screw the health system Crash! Don't be a quitter!
Live fast die young! (by fast, I mean 20% over the limit, lets not get crazy!)(by young, I mean under 95, modern genetics and all) (and by that which burns, I clearly mean only pot and tobacco, unless your out of those)

I know someone who always checked the road before crossing but still got hit by a bus, so fck it I might as well just walk out into the road with my eyes closed.

Just the news and online articles like that. Something about chemicals but they wouldnt pass any sell tests tbh so it's probably just bull crap panic articles or something. I have tried them before when friends have have them but they never fulfill the inhale feeling you get with normal cigarettes for me.
