It seems very dificulty to play this hand. In last time I got them a lot, and they are almoust always overpair when I got them and in 80% i got run over higher hand pair or they hit set, so in last time I always get suck out on that hand, that I am realy thinking now to just fold them when I got them... Right now I lost half of my stack with JJ... I was SB and all folded exept BB so I raise and he reraised about 11 BB so I called... I know I was out of position, but I couldnt just belive that he got hand pair... flop comes out 878, so I raised 5BB and he called... turn comes K, and I know he got that K because I put him on AK, but I had to fire second barrel and so I did raised 10BB, he called... so I checked river, and he be 20BB and I know I got beaten but after all thinking I called him and he show AK... I realy dont remember when I won with pocket jacks, and I got them a lot.. 2 days ago I lost 3 times with jack, first time I run into KK second time AQ he hited Q, and third was AA... i lost a lot that day, and yesterday and today I manage to get all money back and made some profit, but just right now as I said I lost little bit and I am realy anoyed with it... I dont know what to do with them, shall I just fold them???

I understand your feelings about pocket J. I have the same problem with them i never calculated the percentage of lost i had wit this pair but like you when i see them i am very affraid to play them.
I usually just limp with them and if and over card it the board and someone bet i fold immediately.
On the other hand if i have pocket 10 i win a very large percentage of hands with them aand very often do not hesitate to shove in early position.

Are you guys talking about getting JJ while playing cash or tournaments?I don't play that much cash but in tournaments I am quite happy to get JJ. I would definitely rather have JJ than eights or tens but I have been quite lucky with jacks so maybe I am just a bit biased.

Yes man, you are absolutely right: Playing pocket jacks is really a difficult thing. When I get them I usually raise big. The problem is, when you have a raise already before you. Against a tight player I just call, otherwise I often shove.
Try some low-key setmining with them if you think you are loosing your ability to play them out in a succesful way. Don't overbet with them pre-flop and make your betsizes to adjust any hard situation post-flop (so you could in fact notice when you actually running into a setup or two). Folding them without the consideration that they might be good enough to take down the pot - before even the flop came - is no-way a good play IMO. They aren't unbeatable but they are far from an unusable hand so many here thinks so - they have good equity against smaller pockets, AJo and they basicly in coinflip against AQo, AKo so pls pls pls don't fold them.

Definitely one of the tricky hole cards to play post-flop and often times will put you in tough spots. I normally ship pre-flop depending on the game format or try to keep the pot small when any overcard hits on (dry) flop hoping for a cheap showdown.

I never raise big with jack, I always raise 3 or 4 BB depends on situation... and always I got big raise when they are over pair... so that always put me in dificulty situation...

I think that is bad to ship it in with jack, because there is always QQ/KK/AA when you got jacks or even AK or AQ...so I think its bad idea to shove with jacks...

Yeah mate pocket jack can be hard sometimes to play with but i will still raise preflop and bet and if raised i will fold in th micros except if they do it on a dry board and i have read/notes that they will all in with set on dry board, otherwise if they do i will all in but expect to get in with some random overpairs which is risky as most will have one over pair , anyway good luck mate at the tables hope you have better days and win some money!

If you manage to get a flop with low cards then your play and decisions are mush easier. Bit when the flop has higher cards it gets a bit shady. But the same thing happens when you hold KK and the flop has an A, which is like a classic story

I disagree, if I am holding jacks and on board is higher cards, and someone bets big, I will fold 100% and I cant lose much chips... but if you are holding jack, and your jacks is overpair, and somebody bet big, that put me always in tuff spot... and thats how I get sucked out sometimes...
Which player were you in that hand? If you were player one, than I would say your all in was way too loose. But I guess you were player 6 holding a pair of jacks and in this case your have done everything right. The rest was up to the poker gods.

I got eliminated from the tournament the hand before and was just observing the table. Player 1 had been relentlessly shoving almost every single mediocre/junk hand. And as far as I could recall he/she had rebought 3 times already, LOL.
You are right that Poker God was not on his/her side that time.

such pocket pair played out very carefully , usually flop decisive force , and in early position , in my opinion , it is better to play loose - taydovo

It seems to me that everyone has a particular hand that is their nemesis and one hand that is their favorite hand to play. If it is your nemesis then just don;t play them. No harm no foul, could you have maybe won chips with JJ that time? Maybe, but it sounds to me like it rarely happens. So just don't play JJ. Fold as if it were 10 7. For me it is QQ. I have to learn to take my own advice because I still play those bitches and most of the time I lose to Kings or Aces. Take care and good luck at the tables my fellow Mobsters.
