New Tax-Law  0
Hello Mobsters,

so I recieved an E-Mail from Full Tilt which says that due to changes in the Law of Taxes (German: Steuerrechtliche Änderungen) players will now only be awarded with 8 FTPs per 1$ Rake.

It also says that it affects whole EU starting now (6. Jan)

Does anybody know more?
Also I didn't get a Mail from Pokerstars. If it's some kind of new law then shouldn't it affect all Pokersites?!

Maybe someone of you knows more..

EDIT: Steuerrechtlich - fiscal; tax-based, according to tax law; under fiscal law

Hello, I am German as well, but unfortunately I do not play on Full Tilt so I could not have gotten that mail. But I did not receive anything like that from any other pokersite as well. But if it is true it should definitely effect all pokersites.

Yeah as I said I have also a Pokerstars Account but I didn't get an E-Mail from them.

So nobody knows what's up?

The change isnt implemented on stars yet, it will be sometime during the first quater. The change will be that players receive only 5VPPs instead of 5.5VPPs per dollar raked.

yeah i received this message as well, though not coming from germany. guess it's legit then- unless nigerian scammers decided to scam germans and lithuanians in one go.
not sure whether this law affects all sites or not, but even if it does probably all sites have some timeframe to implement this and will follow suit sooner or later.

It does affect all sites, but it's the sites discretion to implement it to the disadvantage of thw players or not. In the case of pokerstars, they have to pay 20% of player's rake in tax now, and decided that players will pay half of it (thus decreasing rewards by 10%)

Its a sad reality but its good pokerstars is covering the other 10 percent instead of sticking it to the players
