Many congratulations to Ilkin Garbil on winning this high roller event. I find it quite astonishing that this is his first ever live cash. I suppose it's not a bad way to start!! Congrats again

well done to Ilkin Garibli for winning such a massive prize.I had never heard of this guy before and after looking at Hendon I realised that he had never cashed before ever so a great performance against a very experienced opponent.

The Main Event may have seen a drop in numbers, but one format which is thriving is the $25,000 High Roller.
A very impressive 269 players bought into this event, which eventually led to two seven-figure payouts.
Ilkin Garbli of Azerbaijan walked away with the trophy however, and the larger prize of $1,105,040.

I have hard time to understand that somebody with a chip ratio better than 2:1 could agree a deal where he gets almost even money with the 2nd place finisher at the end. Yeah, it's a million so it's an ultimate payday nevertheless but this just gets me in a wrong way. They made a deal than battle more than 2 hours for the remaining title and the watch is funny.

Again, thank you Sorin for the copypaste from p.strat. You've become a valued member there too?
