Will 50/50s throw off your roi? For example playing 1.50$ 50/50 and cashing for say 2.40$? 0.90$ profit but not double your buying? I have donked alot of money away and have finally been getting my roi back up. Still in the negitive but went from -50% to -24.5. Played 12 50/50s cashed in 10 and now roi is -24.8. Shouldnt it be goin up not down?

------------
The .02$ and .10$ games were for allin challenge so dont mind them was aloin first hand for both

------------
Gonna take a long time to get the -1700$ in outta the red lol but one thing at a time cant change the past lol

------------
So i was bored instead of looking over my loses i decided to look at my wins. Found that the majority of my final tables are all on the 5$ progressive knockout. It shows in the picture as 2.70$ also doesnt show bounties which are wortg more the the prizes them selves. Think its because its my favourite game so i put more effort into it.

I wouldnt recommend you to play 50/50s with the kind of volume you play (I remember you once said you play 1 table and never more than4). 10 Cents per game on average would already be a great winrate longterm, so it wouldnt be worth your while IMO.. Stick to KOSTTs or MTSNGs Smile

I prefer traditional double or nothing to Fifty50.
Let's assume you get in the money 55% to 60% of the time, then you would need to accumulate 3,000 to 3,500 in chips (average per game that you get ITM) when the game ends to be even marginally profitable on $1.50 Fifty50.

That is not easy at all!

It depends what your bankroll is at and if you are willing to redeposit if bust etc., then I can probably give you a more detailed format+buy in Blink

Bankrolls around 65$ but can redeposit whenever i play for fun so moneys not really an issue. If i go bust i ussually deposit 50$. Can do that up to twice a week if necessary my "fun" budget is 400$ a month, wife uses hers for shopping mines for poker n beer on occasion.

If you're willing to spend (though you should strife not to "spend" playing, even if you play for fun) that much per month then you can play pretty much everything up to the $5 90 player KOs, I'd still recommend playing either $3.50 9 player KOs or 18 mans, definitely largely lower monetary variance than $2.50 180s for example.
However, if you say you play solely for fun then you should probably just play what you enjoy most Smile

Thanks for the advice gonna try the games u mentioned and see if roll builds up without depositing. See if i can get somewere to comfortably play my favourite game. Ive got 15 final tables and 6 other cashes on the 5$ progressive with less then 50games played. Think thats pretty decent. Something about the thrill of the bounties getting bigger and bigger keeps me interested and playing well. My biggest first place was only 57$ prize but over 90$ in bounties so kept me playing thriving to play good and not make unnecessary gambles

I should say i do take poker serious for the most part and would put more effort into building roll and learning, just hard because can never give 100% focus because the home life gotta come first. Sometimes i see myself sitting out just to take a shower because opportunity was there. Kiddos keep me pretty occupied.

Playing SNGs, not being focused isn't that much of an issue IMO, especially at the lowstakes and if you play turbos.. When I grind I often fall into "Braindead-mode" as well, like, if I notice I doubled up somewhere I can't even recall anymore what hand I had, while it happened only 30 seconds ago, in SNGs when many situations are standard anyways, I don't think that's too bad.
Obviously home life and especially kids gotta come first Smile

There is a misconception in place for SNG players. They think and big ROI is the solution, you can have 100 % Roi if you play only one SNG per month, rather than look at ROI , you should look at it based on volume, you should strive to get lots of volume and you will make money even if your ROI is small, for smaller levels 20 % is achievable but for higher stakes, 2-3% ROI is considered normal, but as stakes are higher more money is made!
