I think Duck had a serious problem with fraud and multi accounting and at one point it looked like the site was going to fail and shut down. They had to have some safe guards if a lot of money was being taken out of the site by fraudulent freeroll players but maybe they need to tweak their rules slightly. It can't be easy to keep a small poker site in business these days and it won't be good for internet poker if there are only 2 or 3 massive sites left.
I completly agree with you Klash. Competition is good for the consumers, in any kind of markets...
I actually like Duck but that 5.3 rule is bullsh*t and the way it's written it can be misleading. In fact, this freeroll rule basically keeps you from withdrawing anything from your account unless you have met the freeroll cashout requirements. But in my mind, the rule is about freeroll winnings, not all winnings... Thing is, right now, there's only like 20% of my bankroll that comes from freerolls but I can't cashout any of it because I still have some points to make. Not being able to cashout real MTT winnings/leaderboard winnings/cash games winnings because I've won some freerolls feels weird to me.
I understand why this rule is in place, but it should only concern freeroll winnings in my opinion.

The freeroll winnings should be treated differently if you are a depositing player and if there is such a concern about fraud maybe the site should not get involved with as many freerolls or limit the amount of games new players can play until they deposit. It is too one sided and all players are being treated unfairly at the moment but hopefully they will change when they get more established.
