If your still doin shift work in the oil sands itll get better. Eventually the days just blend together and start to go by faster. Expecially if your doing 12s a day. I worked 630-630 so was perfect by the time i got back to camp atw and watched a lil tv it was time to work agin. Keep your head up it gets easier the longer your up there.i wont be back now for anotber 3 months. I habe my heavy equipment and class 3 courses lined up and if all goes well might go for my crane course too.

I am out at Surmont II project just south east of Fort Mac. I am doing 24 and 4s, 12.5 hours a day.
This is the best camp I have ever been in with my own private bathroom and shitter!.
I have my Class 1, which is the AZ ontario Terminology I also have my C class as well.

This plant is still under construction and we are basically flushing all the pipes here so alot of sitting and watching gauges and changing filters. I then going to a hotel on my 4 days off then will do either a 12/2 and another 12/ flight home or 24/4 then home depending on the work load back in Sarnia.

Also that lovely lady is my Best friend (ex wife) who still deeply cares about me and I do her but having our issues staying as a couple after 12 years. Either way all good, least I can find some tail around here! Big Smile

You dont have much time to think about poker or anythink working 12.5hrs. a day. Wish you good luck
in work and vacation time. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

There was also a tiny little thing of a young girl,...maybe 5 ft tall and about 20 - 25 yrs old who drives one of those MONSTER dump trucks with wheels as big as a house... Thumbs Up

Hi mate.

Yes probably is hard thing, but in life we have to make choises, better or bad they will be to the future, and for wifes, kids, family and general they will understand our decisions, and there will be allways vacation, and that times we can put the talk and the emotion evry single day.

Keep positive and the future maybe have something good to bring.
