Almost Tilted  +1
I pride myself on not tilting but I've come really close today. Seven days of constantly getting it in with the best hand but getting sucked out on. Hurt me so hard I'm going to have to drop down a level.

Oh well trust in probability it will work out in the end.

Not whining btw . ust thought I might as well get 10 BRM points out of the run bad. Big Smile

For me, it's hard to tell when I'm tilting. Most of the time when I'm tilting, I don't think I am. Looking back the exclamations of "unbelievable" and worse (not to be mentioned here), are a bit of a giveaway. Then again, this happens when playing well also... Like I said, hard to tell...

Good luck with recovering!

Honestly i don't tilt. I'm pretty much cold, hard, believing in the maths. That said I am getting close.

Down from $200 to $50 and, unbelievable as it might sound, it's purely down to getting sucked out on.

0.50 sng's it is then. Strict BRM was my new years resolution. Now is th time to put that to the test.

Even when being up about $1000 in the last few months, I still get upset with a $15 (almost 4 buyin) losing session, like I had yesterday.
And what's worse my play suffered.

I've never had a downswing so far, but I'm pretty sure I won't do better than 1 out of three in the "cold, hard, believing in the maths" thing... Big Smile

So how do you handle an upswing? Still "cold", or do you enjoy it? Do you suppose it's a double edged sword?

Yes it is really. i handle an upswing far worse then i handle a downswing. On an upswing i start thinking I'm invincible. Dumb realty i know I'm not.

------------
The thing is, when you buy in for $20 or so and then run it up to $200 you think you've got it beat. Fact is you've just been running a lucky up swing.

Treta it for what it is, a chance to learn.

dont go tilting... as you said lower your level and try to earn money back... I am too a little downswing, and I am trying not to tilt, but with proper bankroll menagment you can handle losing a few buy in... Hope you will recover soon, good luck!!!

tilt is really the biggest fight you have to go through if you want become pro poker play
i just lost most of my bankroll on a cash game
when this guy on small blind raises me all-in with AQ and i am big blind , i had to call because i had a read on him
and i was right i was dominating him with QQ
but in pokerstars always the ace is present xD
and i took it like any other day , hope to get up again
