Sunday Million With $9 Million Prize Pool!  0
This event is going to be huge and it will be very interesting to see exactly how many players do enter. I hope that somebody off this site can go real deep and best of luck to all those playing

Yes mate there will be a very large field I guess and maybe I will be a part of it, because I still have a ticket with which I can register for this sunday million. But I think that a lot of good players will attend this tourney so winning something might be hard.

there will be around 40k players playing that sunday million... There were few before, when prize pool was simular, sometimes 5M$, and it is a nice chance to become millionaire Big Smile Good luck to all mobsters that will play this, and I hope someone will make some good money from this great promotion... I will not play because I dont have 215$ on my bankroll xD but there is satelite for 1$ so maybe Ill try that, but I dont think I will, because chance is slim on that to win ticket....

9 million now that is lot of money
everybody dream is to reach final table in a tournament like this
but it will require skills and lot of luck
i have seen real average players make it in those
but again the luck , being able to win flips , catching good cards and not running against cooler hands
still 19 days , maybe i will be able to get that buy-in but most likely i will be watching as usual

Its a large amount of money, and i think that this tournament will be break the record of the past, and will make some players very rich, and make anothers with a good bankroll, will be a party on is on.
Like sthep said maybe participate on some satelites to win the ticket, but not to participate.
Best of luck to the mobsters that will be part of this.

I doubt it it would be largest prize pool... there were few sunday millions with prize pool over 10m$... I think biggest one was 16M or 15M$ I am not sure... I think this will get close, but I think it will not grow bigger than 15M$

These all-in shootouts are such enticing.. $1 buy-in, prize is $215 ticket, chances 1/256 (or 0,4%)

I should try Big Smile

This sounds like a great tournament to be involved in though with an entry field of 40k players you would hate to finish on the bubble and it must go on for hours. It would be nice to win a poker tournament and get a Lamborghini as an added prize!

My mistake it will be at least 50k players.... usualy when there is 5M guaranted there are 55-60k players... so I think this will be same....

A great promotion with a huge prize and loads and loads of chances to satellite into the main event for relatively small prices. It would be nice to see if any mobsters enter the $9 million tourney and how much they spent getting into it and how much they win from it,

Very good promotion from PokerStars, but not to easy to get to it if you dont want to play the full price of the entry to this fabulous tournaments.

However with the number of players that will enter it, if we look at previous big one it will be at least in the 40 000.

With this kind of number of players just making it to ITM will be a very hard task.

And this kind of tournament is out of my skill so wont try anything to get in. Smile Smile Smile

Played one of the 4x shootout 1$ 256mans. Came in like 26th place. Pretty basic poker allin any goodhand. Hyper, only start with 10 big binds so goes pretty fast. Im sure it wouldnt be to hard to boink one. Think u have to win 4times to make it to final table so definitely doable. For a 200$+ ticket surly if you wanted to put the money up for it u can win it once easily in less the 200 tries.

That being said i might put 30$ aside and give it 30 goes. Might be a nice little challenge for tomorrow

Have no intention of playing this big of field so really depends if u can trade ticket for t $

what if I told you there will be 5400 places paid, and that is very easy to reach ITM when is so much places geting paid and when there is a lot of players Thumbs Up

------------
correction... there would br 10k places paid for 60k players... exactly 10017 places paid.... so that is very great, and I think its easy to make it Thumbs Up

------------
pokerstars will make a sht load of money from this one... they took 15$ for evry player... 60k players =900k$ from single tournament Big Smile nice money Thumbs Up almoust a million O.o thats a sht load of money.... Big Smile

Actually they're not as good as you can think.

Look at this:

buy in for satellite = $0.98 + $0.02
Number of entrants: 256
Prize is $215 ($200+$15)
Odds: 1/256 (or 0,39%)

0,98*256=$250,88 for $215 ticket
(and you already payed the rake $0,02 or $5,12 for 256 tries so actually you pay $255,12 for $215 entry)

And as jeffaboy mentioned, there're 3 $12 prizes, so 255,12-(3*12)=$219,12 for $215 ticket

As you can see, it's a cheaper to pay $215 for entry than trying to win it through satellites.

Oh, I didn't know that.

Looking at the numbers it definitely doesnt sound good. I play almost strictly 180man hypers and 6max hypers, think knowing the shoving/calling ranges u can have a small edge. I find most ppl playing hypers panic if there short stacked and push with any two cards, when in reality u dont need to rush the game will play out. Ive only played one of these so dont know the type of players but i think its safe to say not all them are ubber familiar with the format and are just trying to get lucky. Ill give it a go tomorrow and see if i can atleast break even with 30tries. Its a small sample for sure, but will be fun ttrying. Ill post results and start in the am.

------------
Actually scratch that ill start in a few hours with a few tonight and see where this takes me Smile
